"Why didn't you let me kill them?" He demanded. "Solas, you're a good man. And, I don't think revenge would help you." I said, trying to sound calm. His face was contorted with anger and grief.

"Elana, they killed my friend! They deserved to die!" He shouted, thankfully we were in my room, so no one would hear us.

"Solas, I've walked the path of revenge and death. I watched as Shemlens killed my brothers do father and did unspeakable horrors to my mother. I know what it is like to be so clouded by anger, that all you can think about is vengeance! I hunted those men, for years, only to find that I was alone! Alone and dead inside!

"I had chased them for so long that I had forgotten love and humanity! I had become one of the monsters that ripped apart my family! So, no, I don't want that for you! Because I've walked the path you're on and you won't like the destination!"

"Elana, I'm so sorry, I never realized..." I put a hand up to stop him. "I refuse to let you make the same mistake I did. I have known such a hatred like that, and I care and love you too much to let that happen to you. Please don't be angry with them. If anyone be angry with me." I pleaded.

I could feel tears at the back of my eyes from the mention of Mamae and Lisand. I felt a single tear fall. "Ir abelas, Emma lath." He said. "Do not be sorry, be happy. I was lost for such a long time. I just don't wish to see you lost as well, ma vhenan." I sighed.

"I will never be lost as long as I am with you."

And in that precise moment; the world was perfect. But, little did Elana know that her love was hiding a secret. One that would rip a tear in the very veil itself.
