Kyle couldn't comprehend what had happened to him within the last day. Now as he stood before the ancient Roman Gods, he felt scared. Any wrong thing he says could end up killing him. The room itself radiated power, and the celestial beings atop the thrones were the source. He gulped nervously as the man in the middle, Jupiter, addressed the small group.
" Welcome, Children. " Jupiter spoke in a deep, powerful voice which vibrated through the very floor itself. Kyle watched Zia anxiously, waiting to follow her lead. She too, seemed shocked. So Kyle decided to take matters into his own hands. He knelt on one knee, placing his right fist on his chest, and bowed his head.
" Your majesty. "
Zia saw Kyle bowing at the edge of her vision, and she decided to follow his lead, pushing aside her pride. She too knelt down, placing a fist on her chest. As soon as Zia bowed down, the group knelt too. Kyle glanced up to see the Gods smiling.
" You may now stand, brave warriors. " A powerful female voice spoke. The group slunk to their feet, and looked at the woman that had addressed them. On the fourth seat to the left of Jupiter, sat a tall woman, clad in a silver toga. Her dark chocolate brown hair was braided perfectly down her shoulder, a small tiara atop her head. All the goddesses had a tiara, each fashioned differently. This particular goddesses had a beautiful crescent moon, trailed by a pack of running wolves. Kyle recognized the voice immediately. It was the same voice that had spoken in his head. The Huntress, he breathed. Her dark eyes swept over the group, and finally settled on Kyle. His heart began to beat faster as she noticed him for the first time. He clenched his jaws and looked straight ahead, trying to avoid her eye contact. He was scared as to if looking into her eyes was the right thing.
" You have answered our calls, and come to our sacred lands to prepare for battle. " the Huntress spoke.
" Battle? What battle? We didn't sign up for a battle. " Aaron interrupted. Kyle felt like kicking his shin. The Huntresses eyes flashed in anger, only for a brief second, but she regained her composure.
" Do not interrupt boy. " she said in a warning tone. Aaron looked down nervously.
" As I was saying, we owe you a small thank you for answering our calls. I feel that you do not understand the severity of this meeting, and I pray hope that you soon acknowledge the danger the realms are in. " she continued gracefully.
Aaron opened his mouth to speak again, but he caught Mars's eye. Mars shook his head in a silent warning, telling Aaron to not speak. Aaron quickly closed his mouth.
" Now, I believe that you Pandorians need to have your questions answered, before you comply to our wishes. Do we have a deal? " the lady asked.
Everyone looked at Zia, waiting for her to make the choice. Her mind turned over the facts presented to her. We need the information. We don't know what we're getting ourselves into. It doesn't look like there's a way to escape. She looked at each of her comrades, and decided what was best for them all.
" We have a deal. " Zia spoke. She was surprised at how calm her voice sounded. The Huntress smiled at the group, and nodded her head in acknowledgement.
" Very well. You have made your choice. I request you all to part with your corresponding Patrons. They will have the answers to you questions. " the Huntress said.
" This meeting is now over. " Jupiter announced. At his command, all the Gods vanished into thin air, except for four of them. The lady Huntress gracefully stepped off her throne, and walked to Kyle. Kyle was sweating nervously, afraid to speak. She reached him, and stopped a few feet in front of him. Her eyes assessed him, judging him.
" Very well built, I'll give you that. " she said. He got the impression that this wasn't your typical female goddess. She radiated power. He had a feeling she could kill him in the blink of an eye.
" Say, Kyle. Let me tell you a few things. "

Aaron watched Kyle being led away by the Huntress, and he couldn't stop a tingling in his stomach. He waited anxiously as Mars walked to where he was standing.
" I like you, kid. But you're too rash. You need to think before you say anything. " Mars spoke in his deep voice. Aaron bit his tongue to keep from saying anything.
" Sorry, sir. " Aaron said instead.
" Good. Now, let's see how good you are in combat. "

Kash cussed her life inwardly. Kyle had gotten the Huntress, Diana. Kash was full of envy. She wished she could have gotten someone powerful. As Kash watched Aaron discussing sword fight techniques with Mars himself, Kash couldn't help feel jealous. She was sure Zia would get the most powerful God, which was Jupiter himself. It makes sense for Zia to get someone powerful. But now I'm stuck with Apollo. Kash hated that obnoxious, flirty God. She watched in growing dread as Apollo slid ungracefully off his chair. He walked boldly over to where Kash waited silently.
" Hello, darling. " he breathed. He was wearing an orange toga. But that was the only thing that resembled anything Godly. His blonde hair was styled upward, and he wore sunglasses. To top it off, he was sucking on a lollipop that smelled like strawberry.
" Did you miss me? " he said airily.
" No. I did not miss you Apollo. " she snapped.
" Good. Neither did I. " he shot back.
" Are you going to answer my questions or not? "
" I don't like your tone right now. I think not. "
" It was part of the deal. I'll tell Diana. " Kash threatened. Apollo let out a hearty laugh.
" Who, Diana? You think I'm scared of my little sis? Haha! " Apollo snorted.
" She's your little sister? " Kash asked in disbelief. She couldn't even begin to compare how different Diana was than her obnoxious brother.
" Yeah. Don't believe me? Neither do I. How could such an awesome, powerful, gorgeous God like me be related to someone like her? And on top of that, how could we be twins? " he asked, throwing his hands on his hips, looking exasperated. Kash rolled her eyes in frustration. This is gonna be a long day.

Zia waited impatiently for Hestia to show up. Zia knew Hestia was equally as powerful as the Huntress seemed to be. Zia kept imagining Hestia making a grand entry, in full battle armor, and telling Zia all she needed to know. Zia saw a small woman, clad in a fiery red toga, walking gently and gracefully towards Zia, but Zia didn't pay her much attention. She was still waiting for a powerful goddess to emerge. The slender woman came to a stop before Zia, and Zia looked at her in confusion.
" I hope you remember me? " the woman asked, in a sweet gentle voice.
" Hestia? " Zia asked in shock. She had expected a powerful goddess, not someone like this woman.
" Looks can be deceiving. " Hestia said with a small laugh, as if reading her thoughts.
" How did yo- " Zia began.
" That's not important now. For now, answering you questions is top on my priority list. "
Zia nodded. That was all she could do. She hid her disappointment well, but she was still glum.
It's surprising how 24 hours could change your life.
