Jace’s POV:

Why were these girls in the weight lifting room?

“What are you girls doing here?” I asked them, taking off the gloves on my hands, stretching the sore muscles in my fingers.

“Uh, nothing.” The red-head stated.

“We had to pick up some files from Mr. Monroe’s office, and we decided to walk through here.” The girl with light brown hair said, holding up three files.”

“Is that a problem?” The girl with dark brown hair asked. I knew these girls from somewhere, but I just couldn’t put my finger on it.

“No, no problem at all.” I mumbled. I grabbed my water bottle and took a quick drink before walking closer to the girls.

“We are going now.” The light brown haired girl dragged the red-head along. The dark brown haired girl stood in her place.

“Do I know you from somewhere?” She asked me.

“Well, I’m the quarterback of the football team. Maybe that’s why?”

“No. I know you from somewhere else.” She whispered. She slowly walked out, and looked back one last time as I watched her leave. I knew her. I knew exactly who she was. Danielle. My sister’s best friend.
