*** Author's Note ***
This chapter is a whole lot longer than the other ones. The first three chapters were like one chapter when I wrote it on Open Office, but the rest of the book will have chapters closer to the lenght of this one.
Hope you enjoy...
The next two weeks went on life as normal, I got up in the morning, I went to work, I came home again. Brad came back, there were another couple of fights between him and Alex. I spent time with Aunty Morgan, Uncle Harry and Juliet. Tara text me a few times, but she was really busy with work, I was just stoked that she took time out of her hectic day to text me.
On Friday afternoon after work I went round to Aunty Morgan's place for dinner, as had become routine lately. While I was there I got a phone call.
“Tara, hi, um how are you?” I said taking the phone call out on the deck out back. Her phone call had surprised me, but in a good way.
“Yeah, I'm good,” her voice came through. “I know it's a little bit short notice, but do you have any plans tonight?” She asked, sounding hopeful none the less.
“Well, I'm having dinner at my Aunty's place, but after that I haven't got anything planned,” I informed her honestly.
“Oh, okay, well um, if you don't have anything on after dinner, do you want to go out with me?” Tara asked sounding rather shy, which I found really cute.
“Yeah, I'd love to go out with you,” I replied without hesitation.
“That's great,” Tara exclaimed. “So, what time will you be finished with dinner?” It sounded like she had a smile on her face to rival the one spreading across my own face.
“Um, I should be done by about seven,” I informed her looking at my watch.
“Cool, I'll pick you up then,” Tara said. “Oh, wait, where does your Aunty live?” Tara asked as an after thought, making me laugh. I told her the address. “Cool, I'll see you at seven, oh and it's nothing fancy, so don't dress up or anything, okay Simmy?”
“Yeah, sweet as, I'll see you then, Tara,” I smiled as we ended the call and I walked back inside, a big silly grin plastered all over my face.
“Who was on the phone?” Aunty Morgan asked as I closed the sliding door behind me.
“Um, it was Tara,” I looked down at my phone.
“And?” Aunty Morgan raised an eyebrow at me.
“She's picking me up at seven,” I finally looked at her, unable to stop smiling, not that I wanted to.
“Is this the same Tara that you were hooking up with when you got bottled?” Aunty Morgan asked. I'd actually had my out patents appointment that very day, so my head was bandage free. But it looked like there would be one heck of a scar. I nodded my head to indicate that she was one and that same. “So this would be like your first actual date then?” I nodded again. “Naw, so cute,” Aunty Morgan cooed.
“Shut up,” I muttered as she handed me the baby so that she could start cooking tea. “Hey baby girl, do you want to watch 'care bears'?” I asked making Juliet go crazy in my arms, Care Bears is Juliet's favourite DVD. I chuckled at her enthusiasm and headed into the living room to set up the DVD for her.

“So, where abouts are we heading?” I asked Tara as we drove down the East Link, heading towards the city.
“You'll find out when we get there,” Tara gave me a sly little grin. “So, how have you been? I see your head is healing nicely,” she commented as we travelled down the free way.
