And here's the second part in my two for one special.
Hope you enjoy this one, I'm a little bit iffy on it, let me no what you think. Ta.
“Oh shit, did I wake you?” I had been rummaging around in my room, trying to get my things together for work, the only light was coming from the street light, shining through the thin curtains. I turned around and noticed Tara lying on her side, propped up on her elbow, eyes open and smiling as she watched me. “I'm sorry,” I knelt in front of her, studying her beautiful face.
“It's alright, I was having fun watching you trying to find your way around in the dark,” Tara smiled and let off a cheeky little chuckle.
“That's not funny,” I playfully scolded her.
“Yes, it is,” Tara laughed a little harder. “What time do you start work?”
“Half past seven,” I informed her.
“Why are you up so early then?” Tara asked as she noticed the time on my bedside clock.
“It takes a while to get there on public transport,” I explained.
“If you come back to bed, I'll give you a ride to work,” Tara offered. I smiled and climbed back into bed next to her. “If I set the alarm for half past six, that should be enough time, right?” Tara inquired as I snuggled into her.
“Yeah, should be plenty of time,” I replied. Tara set the alarm and then rolled over in my arms. She pressed her lips against mine and pulled me even closer to her.
“I'm awake now, though,” she pulled back slightly to whisper to me.
“Me too,” I whispered back, letting my hands explore her bare back as we kissed some more. My hands soon came upon the back of her bra, and they made quick work of undoing it, revealing more skin to be explored.
“No fair, I'm practically naked and you're fully dressed,” Tara complained, pulling away from me so that I could see her pouting.
“You're right, and you're more than welcome to remedy the fact,” I whispered into her ear, nipping and licking at the lobe. I felt Tara tugging at the bottom of my shirt so I sat up and lifted my arms for her.
BANG!!! Just as Tara was lifting my shirt over my head there was a loud noise that almost sounded like a gunshot. Then there was a thud, a door opening, someone running down the hallway and then the front door opening.
“What was that?” Tara asked. Both of us had frozen, my arms were still in the air and Tara was still half way through pulling my shirt off. I snapped out of it and pulled my shirt back on.
“I'll go and check it out,” I said getting out of bed.
“Wait, it could be dangerous,” Tara said, grabbing my wrist. I looked down at her holding my wrist, then up at the worried expression on her face and gave a little smile.
“I'll be fine,” I told her and with that Tara let go of my wrist. I walked down the hallway and found that the door to Alex's bedroom was ajar. Everything felt so still and quiet as I came up to that door and rounded it to look inside Alex's room. “TAAAARRRRAAAA!!!!” I was frozen to the spot, as I yelled out the only word that came to my mind, starting off at barely a whisper and growing so loud that I barely recognised my own voice.
“Simmy, what's wrong?” Tara called out as she emerged from my room moments later. I turned around to face her and saw that she was wearing my favourite band hoody, the one that I'd been about to put on when she'd told me to come back to bed. I looked at her with wide eyes. She must have seen the horror and fear written on my face because as I turned back to look into Alex's room I felt Tara rush to my side, and then she pushed past me. Tara gave a gasp and pushed past me. She started administering first aid to a bloody, broken looking Alex.
