Chapter 6

I saw him standing there all casual and cool. He just made me melt he smiles at me like that. When he smirked I wanted to sit down since my knees felt too weak. I was definitely blushing a deep crimson red. I don't even know why. Probably cause he winked at you. . . My mind teased. My thoughts were soon cut off by Aunt Jenna talking.

"Sweetie, this is my son, Kai" She said beaming.

I stuck out my hand and he took it politely. It sent shivers down my spine when our hands made contact. I looked him in the eye and smiled, shyly.

"Hi" He said his voice deep yet smooth.

"Hey" I barely whispered. I was frozen in place. You know that moment when you shake a persons hand for too long? Yeah that was kinda what I was doing. I kept shaking his hand. Well I was mesmerized by his hold. After what felt like 2 hours, he chuckled, making me blush even harder.

"If you would be so kind as to let go of my hand please?" He said teasingly.

"Sorry" I mumbled and let go instantly blushing again. 
Dammit, why do you blush so much. You probably look like a frigging potato. We all walked to the dining room. It had a glass table in the middle, with black and white chairs. There was a small chandelier on the roof. I sat down, and Kai sat down next to me, and Aunt Jenna sat down across from us.

"I'm sure you guys will be good friends" She said smiling.

"Let me go get the dinner" She left.

I looked to my side to see Kai smiling at me and I blushed for the thousandth time. He looked me up and down and grinned. It got on my nerves and I couldn't hold it anymore, and I burst out saying.

"Is there something on my face?" I say and he laughed.

"What?" I asked rather annoyed that he kept staring at me. It was making my mind go crazy. Is there something on my face? Am I ugly? Why does he keep staring? Is he even staring at me? My thoughts got cut off when Aunt Jenna walked back in. I'm saved! She had prepared, chicken with salad and rice. My stomach nearly roared. I have a very fast metabolism. Its a good thing but it keeps me hungry and I eat almost every hour. 

When we were all done, I volunteered to do the dishes. Aunt Jenna said goodnight and went to bed. I saw she was tired, so I thought I would help out. As I was busy placing the dirty dishes in the dishwasher I felt someones presence behind me. I turned around and saw Kai and he smiled at me, well it was more like a cocky grin. He still makes it work though. I shook my head to clear my thoughts and tried to continue with the dishes. As I was reaching for the plates he stood in front of me.

"Can I do the dishes, please?"

"No" He said plainly.

"Well, if you don't move, then you do the dishes" I said and threw the dishrag at him, witch he caught with no effort.

Obviously, I mean look at those rippling pecks.

"Oh shut up" I scolded my brain. He turned around and looked surprise.

"What?" I realized I had said that out loud.

"No sorry, I was talking to myself" I said and walked to the door. I turned around not making eye contact as I talked to him.

"Goodbye, tell your mom I said bye, and I'll visit when I can" I said

"Will do" he have a cocky smirk and wink.

I walked out the front door and over to my house. I walked in and then went upstairs and took a shower. I dried my hair and put on pajama shorts a tank top and got in bed. I checked the time it was nearly 11:30. Before I drifted off into an endless sleep I heard someone talking.

"Goodnight neighbor" I turned around and saw Kai sitting on the ledge of the window and smirked at me. He winked and went to his bed. My eyes widened and I made a mental note. Note to self: DEFINITELY keep windows closed now. I tried to sleep but couldn't, because the only thing on my mind was, I was living next door to the hottest bad boy I had ever seen, and he was my mothers best friend's son.
