I looked at Jane and she was stunned just staring between Kai and me. I just smiled. I sat down pulling Kai down next to me. After we sat, I gave everyone stern looks and they all snapped out of it and went back to normal. I didn't want Kai to feel left out. They would just have to get used to it. I looked at Jane on the other side of me, and gave her a small smile. She just chuckled and shook her head. I gave her a quizzical look.

"What?" I whispered.

"Nothing, its just weird"

"Why?"

"Cause you live next door to your moms best friend, and you have a crush on their son" She said smiling

"Uhh, no, I don't. Why would you even think that? You need help. I was just being nice. He is cocky and arrogant. No, never, not me, Jane" I said

"So guys, who would like to chill at Astrid's new place?" Sarah suddenly asked.

"Ok, yeah lets just invite all our friends to my house when I didn't even know about it" I said my voice dripping with sarcasm. Jane laughed. The bell rang and I went to class. I was so tired today. When I got home, all I was gonna do was get in my bed and watch re-runs of Baby Daddy. My favorite show. I sat through the rest of the class, and when the bell rang signaling the end off the day, I jumped up and grabbed my stuff, heading out the school doors. I went to catch a ride with Jane but remembered she had an appointment. And Sarah was at ice skating practice. I started walking home. It wasn't that far. Just like, 20 min or so walk.

I wasn't even walking for 2 min, when I heard an engine behind me, and someone calling my name. I turned and found, Kai. Wow. He must be stalking you.

"Are you stalking me?" I asked.

"No, I live right next door to you remember?" Shit. I blushed.

"Yeah sorry. I was just- I'm not used to staying at one place for long. Over the years I have learned to not get to close to new people to fast" I said and he looked at me with sympathy. I smiled.

"Can I get a ride?"

"Yeah hop on" And with that, I got on, and wrapped my arms around his waist. I felt his back go rigid again. Wow. . . he really doesn't like me touching him. I just held on tight anyways. I didn't want to fall off. We drove off and I looked at the scenery again. It was breathtaking. It truly was. We stopped at the driveway and I got off.

"Thank you. I appreciate it"

"No problem"

I walked inside, and picked up my phone. I ordered pizza. I was hungry and didn't wanna cook. After the pizza arrived, I plopped down on the couch my body aching with pain. I put on the T.V and started watching Baby Daddy. Its about a single dad raising a baby girl, but he is a total player, and his best friend is in love with him but he doesn't know it, but his brother is in love with her and she doesn't know it. Its a classical Rom-com. After about 10 episodes, I dragged myself upstairs. I grabbed some clothes and changed. I stood in only my bra and jeans, when I heard a low whistle. My eyes widened in shock and I turned to the, now open window, with Kai on the other side, looking at me like he has been stranded on an island for his entire life and I'm a bottle of water. He looked me up and down, and smirked. I had a hot body and I knew it, but I didn't show it like some sluts do.

"What?" I said turning my back to him.

"Nothing, I just never knew that my neighbor had such a hot body, I mean she dresses like a nun sometimes" He said and I could hear his grin.

"Well, at least I don't dress like a slut, that has no self respect" I snapped back, anger boiling inside me. This guy was working on my nerves.

"Calm down, sunshine, I'm only joking" He said, with a bit more sincerity in his voice. I grabbed a shirt and sat down on my windowsill. I looked at him, he had dark hair, and grey-greenish eyes, with little golden flecks, and his lips are so pink....My thoughts was cut off by him giving a low chuckle, the sound coming deep from the pit of his stomach. My heart did a back flip. I couldn't help but smile.

"Well, isn't that funny?" I said sarcastically. He smiled at me, his eyes gave a little spark. He is picture perfect. We fell into a silence, but it wasn't all that uncomfortable. It was nice. He broke the silence by yawning. I laughed.

"Is the bad boy tired from all the shit he's been causing?" I teased, his eyes snapped up, and met mine. He looked serious, and I thought I hit a nerve there. My smirk vanished and was replaced by fear.

"Oh shit. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to insult you, sorry, I'll make it up to you I swear-"

"Calm down. I was joking. But it was cute when you rambled like that, maybe I should do it more often" He said with a smirk. I tried to keep a straight face, but couldn't help but crack a smile. We talked for a while after that about the usual stuff, like favorite movie and what we liked to do. I checked my phone and it was already 11:30. I had to cut the fun we had.

"Well, its getting late, so I think we should get some sleep. We do still have school"

"Ok, goodnight Astrid, sweet dreams" He said with smirk.

"Night, Kai" I said and closed my window and shut the curtains. I had a feeling I was gonna get a good nights rest. I got in bed and smiled. I had fun talking to Kai. Turns out, the bad boy wasn't that bad after all.
