KAI.

I woke up with a smile on my face. Last night made me sleep like I never slept before. She has this effect on me that no one has ever had. Its a nice feeling. Yet I'm scared of it, knowing that I shouldn't be feeling this. I mean, I'm a bad boy, and when your a bad boy, it means no girl is supposed to be able to do this to you. No girl....I put on some music and then got in the shower. I got dressed in ripped jeans, black combat boots, and a shirt that said I LOST ANGELES on it in black. I went downstairs and, as usual, my mom left early. Its nice, not having my mom around most of the time, but sometimes its kinda lonely. Now I know what Astrid must feels like. No you have no idea how she feels...My mind thought bitterly. She must suffer sometimes. I don't know that much about her, but my mom talks a lot about her. My mom cares a lot about her. After all Astrid's mom and my mom have known each other since they were in diapers. They were like family, and that's why my mom is kinda taking her under her wing.

I got on my bike and went to school. The day went on until lunch. I walked out of my classroom and saw, Astrid, leaning against the wall, casually smirking at me. I got closer and she stood straight. I smiled at her.

"Hey" She greeted.

"Hi"

"Ready to go?"

"Yeah, let me just put away my books and then we can go"

"I'll walk with you"

We walked to my locker and I opened it up, chucked my books in and we bolted for the cafeteria. It was meatballs Monday, and trust me when I say that these meatballs, are heaven. We rushed and stood in line. After we got our food, we went and sat down at our usual spot. Everyone was already there. I sat next to Astrid. We all talked and ate. When lunch was nearly over, Astrid turned to me, and looked in the eye and smiled.

"Wanna come over later?" She asks me out of the blue. It kinda caught me off guard and I nearly choked on my Coke. She nearly laughed, but she was trying to hold it in.

"Y-yeah, sure" I stutter, and she giggles. Well, guess that's a point for me.

"Ok, yeah we can just chill" She said and she got a far away look in her eyes as she said the next words "Yeah, it kinda gets lonely sometimes in the house. Its fun, sure, but sometimes I just-" Her words got cut off when she snapped out of the trance she was in. But it kinda feels like he already knew the answer. Her parents. That's who she misses. When lunch was over, we went our separate ways. The rest of the day went by in a blur, and when the time came that I had to go home with Astrid, I couldn't help but feel really excited. I had a feeling we were gonna be great friends.
