Chapter 2 Zane?

Aphmau's POV

I said goodbye to Garroth and left to meet some of the people in town. I decided to go to the plaza first. I wish I hadn't. The man that was all too familiar to me was talking with a merchant.

"Zane" I growled.

Zane turned around with an evil grin on his face.

"Hello Aphmau, what a pleasure to see you"

I bolted not knowing where to go. I decided to ask Garroth about one why Zane was here, and two where I could find the lord of this place.

Garroth's POV

After Aphmau left, I decided to go to the housing area. As I was walking, I heard someone quickly approaching from behind. Turning, I drew my sword preparing for an attack. To my surprise I saw Aphmau, and I quickly sheathed my weapon. She seemed terrified.

"Garroth" she panted "can I ask you two things?"

"Um... Sure, go ahead"

"One, What is Zane doing here? Two, do you know where the lord of the village is?"

She knows Zane? How?

"To answer your first question, Zane is here for Donna and Logan's wedding" I said to her. "To answer your second question, the previous lord has passed on and we are without a lord."

"Oh I didn't know"

"How do you know Zane?" I asked

She seemed nervous about answering me.

"He threatened me and my family"

What!?!

"What did he say?" I asked concerned about what my brother would do

"He um... said that if I didn't marry him he would hurt my family."

Now that was the final straw. I drew my sword and ran to the plaza.

A/N Hey guys! I am so evil. The cliffhanger was intentional because it hints for the next chapter. Hope you like this chapter better because of a little bit of action.
