Aphmau's POV
"Hey Garroth" I said
"H-Hello Lord Aphmau"
Did he just stutter? Odd
"Garroth are you okay?"
"Yes Lord Aphmau you just startled me"
Why doesn't anyone just call me Aphmau? It's annoying me a bit.
"Garroth how many times do I have to say this it's just Aphmau"
Well that isn't really my name but to hide my true identity I call myself Aphmau. I'm not saying a word about my past though. (Why not?)
Garroth looked like he was thinking about something.
"Garroth what's on your mind?" I asked sitting next to him.
"Just thinking about a dream I had last night"
Suddenly someone ran up behind us
Garroth's POV
I was about to tell her about my dream when I heard footsteps run up behind us. I drew my sword and faced the... girl?
"Uh... oh..." she murmured
Aphmau stood up and walked up to the girl.
"Are you okay?" Aphmau asked her
The girl looked ready to bolt at any moment.
"We're not going to hurt you"
The girl stared at me assuming because of my weapon.
"Garroth sheath your weapon"
I put my weapon away and the girl seems to relax a bit.
"What's your name?" Aphmau asked the girl
"Elizabeth, my name is Elizabeth"
"It's nice to meet you Elizabeth, I'm Aphmau and this is Garroth" she points at me.
"Lord Aphmau should we get back to the village?" I ask
Elizabeth's POV
She was a lord? Almost every lord I had met was cruel in a way, but Aphmau was kind and considerate.
"L-Lord?" I asked her
Aphmau nodded even though she didn't look pleased about the title. I heard a bark coming from behind me. My dog Riley! I completely forgot about her.
"Riley! Come here" I yelled as Riley ran to me
"Aw... Your dog is so cute" Aphmau said
"Heh... Thanks"
"Lord Aphmau, we should get back"
"Okay Garroth, Elizabeth would you like to come with us back to Phoenix Drop?" Aphmau asked me
"Okay I guess"
I walked with Aphmau and Garroth back to Phoenix Drop. I guess that's the name of the village. It was a small village but home like all the same. I just hope no one recognizes me.
