Chapter 7 The Kiss

Aphmau's POV

I waited outside until Kiki said that I could come in. Garroth was asleep so I told Kiki she could get some rest and that I'd watch him for a while. After about four hours, I heard someone moan. It was Garroth.

Garroth's POV

*Dream*

I was chasing a masked man into the forest near Kiki's barn. A baby shower was being held. I chased him but lost him in the thick woods. I ran into a clearing to see a horrifying sight. Aphmau was kissing Laurence.

*End of Dream*

I bolted up right sweating. I winced at the pain in my chest.

"Garroth are you okay?" Aphmau's voice rang in my ears

"Yeah, I'm okay" I looked around and saw it was late at night. "Why are you still up?"

"Kiki was exhausted after helping you. I told her that I would watch you while she slept."

You like her and she likes you. Don't hide it and just tell her

Grr... Shut up thoughts

I look up at Aphmau to see that she is having an internal argument. I know what it looks like because I have them all the time.

Aphmau's POV

You like him and he likes you. Don't hide it and just tell him

Thoughts, Shut Up

You can't make me

Yes I can

I'm not going to shut up

Yes you are and I'm gonna make you

How?

Like this *blocks off my thoughts*

Finally, I had been having an argument with my thoughts for like five minutes. It's not weird.

"Argument with your own thoughts?"

I jumped forgetting that Garroth was right there.

"Yah" I said nervously

"Don't worry I do that too"

Thank Irene he doesn't think I'm crazy.

"Do you need anything?" I asked

"No but I wanted to take a walk to the docks. Is that okay?"

"Sure but do you want me to help?"

"It's up to you honestly"

"I'm helping you it is"

I helped Garroth up and to the docks. I always liked the water. I felt comfortable by the shore for some odd reason. I helped him to a spot to where it wouldn't be as painful.

"Thanks for the help" he said

"It was nothing really" I replied "I've always liked helping others even if it puts me in danger"

"But really those are  actions of a good lord. I've heard you've done some changes to the village."

"Yah just a few here and there. All I really did was change a few buildings and add some more houses"

Kiss him, I know you want to

I thought I blocked you off

Nope I'm back. Now kiss him

Once again with the internal arguments. Don't judge

Garroth's POV

Kiss her, I know you want to

Shut up thoughts

No now kiss her or I'm going to make you

No

Okay you asked for it

Then it happened, Aphmau kissed me.

Aphmau's POV

I don't know what came over me. It just happened. I kissed Garroth. I pulled away blushing like crazy.

"I'm so sorry, I don't know what came over-"

Garroth kissed me shutting me up. What shocked me the most was that I kissed back. For the first time in my life I felt safe from harm. That was until Molly ran to us crying.
