I was walking over to the cafe, it's really not that far from the house, maybe one two blocks. I rounded the corner and walked and towards the table that we literally always sat at, Matthew was there not Jess though, we also had some lets say unexpected company. The bad guys were there the ones looking for the Canary apparently the group is called the BHI, and the look on Matthew's face told me that he was thinking the exact same thing I was, oh crap were in trouble. A man in a black trench coat and fedora growled in a deep, husky voice, "The two of you will come with me now." Truly I was terrified to protest against him especially because I knew it was already outnumbered and you could tell the man had a gun in his pocket. And that's when it just so happened that my "genius" mother called all of the men from the BHI stared at me, one reached behind me, grabbed my phone and declined the request, now I don't have any contacting device to alert the authorities. "Up!" The man yelled, frankly I'm surprised no one at the cafe even realized this was happening. "Yes sir." I murmured and then soon as you know it we were off in the big black van that belonged to the BHI and off to a random, deserted workhouse. We entered the building and a man, the leader of the group stood in front of us, "sit" he beckoned pointing at two folding chairs to the opposite side of his desk. "The two of you know to much, about this organization, about my people, about the bird. And you see we can't trouble the risk of this being leaked to the authorities, so obviously you two will be staying here for a while, until we are positive we can trust you." I almost died right on the spot, my mom will not be happy if I'm not home tonight. "Excuse me sir, can I please have my phone back, I must text my mom immediately telling her I'm having a sleepover, she will be very worried if I don't in fact she may alert the police and we wouldn't want that to happen." I explained. He said teeth gritted, men give the lad his phone and monitor any texts he sends, then take it back." followed by many nods of agreement I texted my mom that Matthew had invited me to a sleepover.
Matthew, who had been completely silent the entire ride here had his puzzled face on, you could tell that he was trying to find a way out, we needed to do it together. "Psst, Mathew, we need to find a way out of here." I whispered. "No dip Sherlock what do you think I'm trying to do."
"Hey do you think someone will come rescue us?"
"I don't kno-"
"You two quiet down, or you can't imagine what I will do."
He gave me a hopeful look, one of confidence, he believed that we might be rescued, and somewhere in my heart I did yo, but first we needed a plan...
