Masen POV

Saturday morning comes to quickly and I wake up to my phone ringing. I search the floor for my jeans and fish out my phone I see its Will and answer it while looking over at the empty side of my bed. "What's up Will?" I say sleepily.

"Just wanted to make sure we were still on for tonight I can come over around eight and we can go from your pace to Old Town?"

I nod sleepily then laugh at myself. "Sure Will just text me when it's closer to eight ok I'm tired as hell." Will laughs on the other end of line. "Get your lazy ass up dude it's already noon." I pull my phone away from my ear and look at the screen and sure enough it's twelve.

"Damn ok ok I'm up I talk to you later I'm going to get up and have me a shower." Will hangs up and I sit up and a note on my night stand catches my eye so I pick it up.

I smile and put the note in my dresser drawer before getting up and showering the smell of sex off my body. Once I'm awake and in my kitchen I realize I still haven't gone grocery shopping so I call Blake to see if he wants to go to lunch.

I listen to the phone ring before I get his voicemail. I grab my phone and keys and decide to go knock on his door before I head out. I walk down the short hallway to Blake's door and knock. The door opens reveling a towel clad Blake with wet hair. I feel myself drool as Blake waves me in. "Sorry man I was in the shower but take a seat and I will be dressed in a minute."

I sit down and smile. "No rush B I just wanted to see if you were hungry?" Blake smiles and nods. "Yeah give me a sec and I will be dressed and ready. Where do you want to go?" He yells as he walks into his room. "I don't care surprise me." I yell back.

I look around Blake and Jenny's apartment it's not the first time I have seen it but it's the first time it hurts so much. To see all the pictures of them in loving poses to see his jacket hanging with her coat by the door it's all little reminders that she gets him in a way I never will. I rub my chest absentmindedly as Blake comes out dressed in jeans with a dark shirt. He grabs his green jacket as we leave and head down to his car.

Blake drives us to this little cafe in downtown and we order sandwiches before sitting down. Blake looks tired so I ask. "What's up man did you and Jenny have a fun night last night you look beat."

Blake pinches the bridge of his nose. "Man I don't know what to do I am trying my hardest to please her but she keeps coming up with reasons for us to fight. Last night we got dressed up I took her out on a romantic dinner and wanted to go to the movies but half way through dinner we started arguing. I swear it was like she wanted to pick a fight."

I pat Blake's hand that's resting on the table. "I'm sorry B I didn't know you two were having problems." Blake sighs. "I didn't either but apparently being with a detective isn't want she wants. Which is rich because I have never once complained about her crazy hours being a nurse no matter how much it drives me crazy when she has to cancel plans because she has to stay late but now she is pissed when I have to stay late at the precent. It's bullshit man."

Our food comes out and Blake loses a little steam. I watch him as I eat too and finally I ask the question. "Are you guys breaking up?" Blake drops his sandwich and sighs. "I don't know Mas I honestly don't know anymore. I'm not sure I even want to fight her anymore so maybe it's for the best."

We continue eating talking about lighter subjects and Blake even ribs me about bringing a guy home last night. "Hey it was the first chance I ever got living with my parents I couldn't take a dude there." I defend myself but Blake just laughs. "Whatever you say buddy."
