[Dawn's POV]
"...Dawn Berlitz!" Delia's announcement caused everyone's gaze to shift towards me. Feeling the tension, I closed my eyes and tried to calm down.
Key word: tried.
Instead, my palms only grew sweatier and my heartbeat pounded in my chest, sending unneeded adrenaline all throughout my body.
Well, that didn't work.
Okay Dawn, you can do this. Just try not to die and everything will be alright.
(A/N: omg it kinda rhymes)
I stepped in front of the portal and mentally prepared myself. It didn't bother me much that Ash, who was supposed to be a test assistant, was nowhere to be seen. It wouldn't make a difference if he ended up not coming. I wasn't expecting to rely much on him, anyway.
"GOOD LUCK, DAWN!" I heard May and Misty yell from the background. Giving them a reassuring smile, I stepped forward in front of the portal.
"Now then..." Delia tapped her foot impatiently. "Where did Ash go?"
[Ash's POV]
"Do you like this view?" A man smiled at his child as they stood on the peak of a steep mountain.
"It's amazing!" The boy's eyes sparkled as he exclaimed with joy.
The man chuckled. "This is the view of the whole city, this will be our secret meeting place, okay?"
"Yup!" The boy grinned. "Can we meet here often?"
"Of course." Was the man's reply.
"Promise?"
"Promise." And they linked their pink together.

"Was that... A dream?"
My eyes fluttered open at the gust of wind that slid through my hair. Sitting up, a frown was on my face as I recalled the unwanted nostalgic feeling.
I only came here to take in some fresh air. Nothing more.
Ignoring the irking nostalgia, I stretched my arms backwards and stood up. Last night, girls' dorm was so obnoxiously loud that I ended up not getting a single wink of sleep. I kicked the metal pole that was supporting the lightning rod on the roof before pausing with a thought.
It felt as if I had something something to do today.
Whatever.
