[Misty's POV]

The next morning, we all anxious to arrive in the familiar room from yesterday. I took notice of the time on my watch. 8:52 AM.

"Do we really have to do this?" Iris groaned.

"Stop complaining and let's all focus on survival for now," Dawn replied with a resigned sigh.

"I'm so, so nervous," Serena gulped.

"Calm down, Serena. We're all in this together!" May pumped her fist in the air, and the honey-haired girl nodded in response.

"Misty, you seemed kind of quiet. Are you okay?" Serena tapped my shoulder apprehensively.

I sighed. This was all so confusing, two days ago we were all S-Class students studying at Pokémon High. Yet now we were all to-be assassins? It was all because of Ash Ketchum. He practically turned our lives upside down.

I sighed again.

"How did we get into this mess in the first place?"

"Apparently, our parents already decided this fourteen years ago. Even though we were just notified about it yesterday," Dawn frowned, recalling the conversation the night before. "This is all so shocking."

The door suddenly opened up and we were approached by two men in black, who handed us five black body suits.

"Welcome to your first training to become assassins. Go ahead and change into these uniforms in the change room. Delia-sama and the young master will arrive in five minutes. You are required to come back here before their arrival." He dropped the suits in our hands with a stoic expression and walked out of the room.

"What if these uniforms doesn't fit us? How do they know our size?" Serena asked.

"Trust me, do not underestimate the mafias," May shuddered.

"Come on, we have to hurry," Dawn said, taking not fo the five minutes timer as we all hurried to the change room.

[Iris's POV]

Barely on time, we rushed out of the change room and hurried to the center gymnasium. Ash and his mom were already waiting there, along with five other people. Seemingly in a bad mood, Ash was leaning against the wall while playing on his phone.

Looking back, he didn't seem to be normal at yesterday's banquet. Although, I've only known him for a few days, he definitely wasn't acting like his usual self.

As if hearing my thoughts, he lifted his head from the screen to suddenly meet my eyes. Flustered, I quickly looked away, ignoring the look of puzzlement on his face as the raven-haired boy—shrugging—returned to playing his phone.

"Okay girls. Today, you will begin your trainings, and these people will be your coaches," Delia announced, smiley as usual.

"I'm Oak, nice to meet you kids!" The cheerful-looking man with gray spiky hair stared by introducing himself.

"The name's Birch," the man with the beard waved.

"I'm Roman, I might seem old but don't underestimate me," said the man with white hair and a lab coat. His curtness reminded me of someone I know.

The raven haired boy sneezed out of nowhere, and I pushed back my thoughts with an awkward cough.

"Hello! I'm Juniper, hope we can all get along!" The hazel hair woman exclaimed. It looked like she was the only woman in the group, I wonder what she's going to teach us.

Lastly, there was a man with messy dark blue hair, "I'm Bob." He looked very strict, I have to be careful around this person.

(A/N: the name bob came as an epiphany. respect sir bob hehe)

"Alrighty! Now let's get started," Delia said, "they will be improving your combat skills, speed, knowledge, danger reaction, and stamina. When you're allowed to attempt real missions will depend on your scores. I wish you all the best of luck!"

"I don't wanna go on real missions anyways," Dawn muttered.

"But we still didn't agree to this!" Misty spoke up. "You were the ones that just threw us into this mess."

"I agree, you never asked us for our opinion," May added.

"Oh?" She stepped closer to us. "Your parents signed a contract, stating that you will all become assassins once Ash reaches fifteen, I believe they told you that."

"Well yeah, but-" Misty started but was interrupted by Delia.

"Then there's no problem! Once a contract is in effect, it is in changeable. You girls have no rights to complain anyways. You don't even know anything about the world for goodness sake! So go complain to me after you become real assassins." With that she left the room, and Ash followed her out as well.

"This woman..?! She's making me so mad!" May gritted her teeth in anger.

"She's gone too far now." Dawn clenched her fist.

"And I thought she was nice," Serena pouted. "It looks like I am going to have to prove her wrong."

"At this point, I guess we have no option but to train and prove to that woman that we could do this," Misty's statement was filled with determination.

"You bet!" I replied, starting to feel fuelled up.

"We can do this!" May exclaimed as we all pumped our fists in the air with a unified shout.

"Yeah!"

[Delia's POV]

"Delia-sama, did you really have to go that far with the girls?" My manager was trailing behind, her voice looming with apprehension.

"I had to give them a push, the girls had no motivation at all! I felt bad saying all those stuff but it was for their own good." I let out a sigh. "The prophecy chose them to fight the underground leader along with Ash, there is nothing for us to do anything except to make them adapt."

"I see," she nodded profoundly.

"And plus," I looked over to Ash, who fell asleep on the chair. "They may be the only ones who can pull him out of his past."
