Serena's eyes fluttered open as a shimmering source of light filled her vision. Rays of sunlight seeped through the blinds, forming rows of sun-crops on her blanket. With a yawn, Serena stretched out her arms. Lazily, she hopped off her bed and pushed the curtains open. More light invaded her room as the honey blond girl squinted to adjust to brightness.
Strolling to her closet, Serena pulled open the doors. Rows of clothing were neatly ordered in her closet as she examined each outfit thoughtfully. After a few moments, she pulled out a red and black blouse.
The same one she wore a year ago.
Five months have passed since the whole 'Demons' situation. Many things have happened since then. For instance, the disband of Mafia Org—well, it wasn't completely disbanded. Serena smiled as she poked her head out the window. Birds chirped continuously, fluttering around her roof like they were having a meeting.
Right after she was discharged from the hospital, all members of Mafia Org were called in for a meeting hosted by none other than the leader of Mafia Org, Delia Ketchum.
She had announced that the organization will be dissolved.
It was a shocking announcement. And of course, there were many complaints and oppositions from the members. However, her decision was adamant.
Partly, Serena was relieved to have her life back, but she didn't want Mafia Org to be disbanded, for it held many memorable memories of her journey. However, Delia was determined. She explained that it was time for everyone to venture onto their own paths.
Her decision resulted in an uproar.
Everyone couldn't help but be irritated. There was a surge of complaint, which almost escalated to a threat. Thinking back on the situation, Serena shuddered.
Mafias were scary, after all.
Anyways, given no other options, Delia had to comply to the majority's demand. In the end, Mafia Org was no longer disbanded, but currently inactive.
As a result, Serena, Misty, Iris, Dawn, and May returned to their normal lives as students from Pokémon Academy. Today was her first day attending school after a year.
But this time, they won't be the only ones.
Delia had also announced that all the other members around the same age would be transferred into the same school.
Including Ash, of course.
"SERENAAAAA!" The honey blond girl flinched as her mother's holler echoed though the hallway. "YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE!"
Taking a quick glimpse at the clock, she hurried downstairs.
The moment she arrived at the kitchen, she was surround by the smell of burnt toast. Her mom, Grace, paced towards her with a plate of unknown substance. Serena sweat dropped.
She felt a sense of déjà vu.
Before Grace could start talking, she cut her off.
"Listen mom, I'd love stay for breakfast, but I don't want to be late on my first day." Serena laughed nervously. "Oh, and please improve your cooking skills. That would great."
"Such mean words towards your own mother!" Grace pouted and started crying dramatically. Serena sweat dropped again.
"Anyways, I gotta go! Thanks for everything!" She kissed her mom on the cheeks and ran towards the door.
