"Mommy!" A certain 7-years old boy ran through the kitchen, "Something smells good! Are we having chicken today?"

"That's right! You've got a good nose," his mom chuckled as she opened the oven and a wonderful aroma filled the room.

"I got good ears as well," the boy grinned proudly, "I hear the garage door opening, which means..."

The door suddenly opened, revealing a man around his 30s.

"Delia, Ash, I'm home!" He yelled across the room.

"Silver! Welcome back, dear," Delia smiled at him.

"DADDY!" Ash yelled as he threw himself at the man, "Mommy says we're having chicken today for dinner!"

"Is that so?" The man chuckled and ruffled Ash's hair.

The three walked over to the kitchen. Silver played with Ash while Delia set the dinner table. Then, they had dinner together.

"I arrested an robber all by myself today, aren't you two proud of me?" Silver grinned proudly.

"Yes yes, we are very proud of you!" Delia giggled as Ash nodded in agreement.

Silver was a member of a police station in Paris, France. A few days ago, he became a part of the police force. Ash has always looked up to his dad, he always acted like a true leader. He was Ash's role model.

As the three sat and ate, they talked about stuff and laughed joyfully. They were truly a lovely family.

But that didn't last very long.

-One year later-

Thunder stocked the outside and rain splattered against the pavement of the side walk. All the houses had a black out except for an certain house at the end of the neighbourhood.

"It looks like every house around our area had a black out," Delia said as she glimpsed outside, which was all dark. "Was it okay on the way back from work?"

"It was alright," Silver said, "We're lucky that our light is still on."

"Daddy, how's work? Did you catch any bad guys?" The now 8-years old raven haired boy asked, his eyes full of curiosity.

"Yeah," Silver smiled, "Daddy caught someone for robbing a grocery store."

"That's amazing! When can I visit your work place again?" Ash's eyes sparkled.

Silver looked away from the boy and cleared his throat. "Maybe next time." He laughed nervously.

Neither Delia or Ash has noticed, but Silver had a secret. A secret he was not planning to tell anyone. Even his own family.

"Oh yeah," Silver said, getting their attention. "I'll be going to another city for a few days."

"What's it for?" Delia asked.

"It's for... A job," he replied, not making eye contact with her. Ash tilted his head in confusion. Something seemed off. His dad was acting a bit strange for awhile, but the boy couldn't pin point why.
