Crisis

My eyes fluttered open, only to be greeted by a floor. I move my body, and I'm feeling pain, flaring up all sides of my body. I move my head ever so slightly, the pain was almost unbearable.
"Hey, dude, you ok? Stop moving, or they'll notice us!" Jimmy whispers.
"What will notice us?"
"Haven't you seen them? The creatures! You know, the ones that are ten feet away, and will kill us if you don't whisper!"
I look at my feet. Ten feet away, stood a hideous creature, it had mud all over its fur, and it was hunched over in the hallway, looking straight at a blaring siren. It's eyes were a blood red, nothing but the redness, and a few white lines going straight towards its tiny little pupil.
In shock, I slowly crawl away, while keeping my eyes on the beast. Shaking with fear, I slowly back into a corner. I look into Jimmy's direction, and I don't see anything but a wall.
I look around furiously. I scan everything, and I don't see anything. Then I remembered that I had the gear on. I look at the base, and I see my bag. It was still intact. Right as I'm forming a plan, I start to feel something. Like, the feeling that you know somethings moving. I immediately knew it was the lurking giant in the halls.
"Goodbye...life." I whisper. Greeting my doom. I look up. Cheerfully, the giant was further down the hall. And I again look at the bag, and I catch movement, at the door. It was Jimmy, wearing body armor, and holding a BB gun. He's waving to me. I slowly crawl forward, 2 feet at a time, looking up between increments to see where the giant was.
The beast was unbelievably terrifying. After quite some time, I made it to the bag. I flipped it over my shoulder, while trying not to make a sound. Which, is difficult when there's monster that could easily kill you. After about 2 minutes pass, and I make it to Jimmy.
"Jee whiz, what are a you? The stealthy turtle?" He whispers.
"Dude, a freaking BB gun isn't exactly gonna hold back the King Kong 10 feet away. I gotta be stealthy, or he's gonna kill us both."
"Good point. Most I'll do is blind the thing."
"Where are the others?" I ask.
"I would say that their up your anus, but, honestly, I'm freaking out. You think that maybe this happened to the other sides of the vault too?" He asks, motioning to the hole in the ceiling.
"That would definitely explain why no one's here."
After our little chat, looking like a creepy couple, we crawl into the base, to avoid making noise. Jimmy started walking over to the gate switch, when I stopped him.
"Dude, you think maybe he'll hear that thing?" I say, in a hushed tone.
"Grab my gun. And aim for the eyes."
I did what I was told, and I walked over to the gate.
"Ya ready?"
"Si!"
He flipped the swich, and ran to the first barricade behind the gate, where I was. In a milisecond, a beastly yell erupted, it was sudden, and it was really, really, loud. The floor started shaking, so badly, that the floor cracked. Thankfully, the gate was closed, but that doesn't mean were in the clear yet.
The monster started pounding on the door. And with each hit, a dent, the size of a soccer ball, emerges onto our side. I bolt to the kitchen. I open everything, and I spill it all over the place.
"Dude! What the-"
"IT KNOWS OUR SCENT!"
That was all he needed to know. Cause he ran to the bathroom, grabbed all the colone, soap, everything, and just started spraying everywhere. Two minutes go by, and I don't register that there is no longer noise. Thinking we were still in a crisis, I walk into the living room.
And right as I started calling for Jimmy to finish up, the gate, burst open. And standing there, was the beast.
It walked in. Sniffed the air with its huge nostrils, and started walking towards the noise. Seconds later, the unaware Jimmy, who was still spraying the place, was screaming. I crawled on the ground, towards the bathroom. Right as I reached the corner, the screaming stopped. As if it was turned off, like a lightswitch. I peered around the corner. And there was the beast, hunched over, holding Jimmy in his hands. He was unconscious, but unfortunately, the beast stabbed him in the stomach with its oversized claw like fingers. And with a popping sound, and the sound of flesh and being ripped apart, the upper part of Jimmy's torso flew towards me.
At least my friend perished without feeling pain.
