They walked in the front door when the smell hit them. Ben looked over at Caroline with a gross look on his face. The smell was Chinese food. None of the Hampton's except Shelley and their mother liked Chinese food, on the contrary they didn't like trying any new food. So it was a surprise when Ben and Caroline walked in smelling their worst fear. They walked into the main hall to find the family and Robbie sitting around the rectangular table and on the table was all different types of foods some gooey plates of mushrooms toppled with rice and others with different types of meat that looked a funny colour. Dad was swallowing his food with some effort while smiling at Robbi. Who was smiling back. Next to her Shelley was looked like she was in heaven greedily stuffing her mouth full. On the other side of the table was Colin and Connor desperately trying without anyone noticing to get the old dog Roxy to take notice of them and feed her their food. Which wasn't actually working, Roxy was staring at them with what looked almost like a evil smile.
"Oh no!" Caroline just realised Roxy was there and Will was in her cage.
"What is it dear?" Asked Robbie.
"It's your dog I can't have my cat in here with her." Said Caroline trying not to yell.
Roxy had just taken notice of Tesse, and was barking.
"Oh I'm so sorry dear! I forgot about it the food was too distracting." Said Robbi apologetically.
She stood up and went and picked up Roxy and walked out the door onto the veranda. "Whew!" Said dad spitting out a price of meat.
"What? Don't like it? Well maybe you should of told Robbie before she put in front of you!" Said Connor.
"You can never turn down a women's meal that's basic common knowledge!" Said Dad folding a napkin and wrapping some of his food in it.
"But this tastes like total sh-" Colin was cut off by Robbie coming back into the room.
"Caroline and umm?" She sounded questionable.
"Ben" put in Ben kindly.
"Ah yes that's right. I was going to say why haven't you two gotten anything to eat yet?" She asked with a smile.
Uh I wish she would stop smiling it's creepy. "Um actually I got car sick on the way up here and I don't really think it would be a good idea to eat just yet."
She said trying to sound convincing.
"I'll just go and get more of the luggage from the car. But can I just put my cat in my room first?" She asked.
"Sure dear. I'll just tell you all where you will be sleeping. So your father is on the first floor with me. And Colin and Connor will be upstairs in the first door to the right and then Shelley will be next door, is that all right dear?" She said to Shelley.
"Oh yes." She said happily.
"Okay great I thought you might like to be by yourself as your growing up. And then on the other side of the hall will be your two rooms." She said looking at Ben and Caroline.
"And further down the hall is two bathrooms, I suppose one for the boys and one for girls for all of you." She finished one again smiling. "Also you might want to be aware of the snakes."
Added dad with a grin. Robbie laughed.
"Okay then I'll just go put Tesse in my room and then I'll be back for the things." She said starting to walk away.
"Wait! We'll help!" Said Colin and Connor together standing up.
"Oh no that's okay, Ben will help me won't you Ben?" She said looking at Ben.
"Sure! And Robin I'm not that hungry as well I ate a lot on the way up here." He said apologetically.
