Caroline woke up to a pillow landing in her face.
"OUUWW! WHAT THE FUCK!" she yelled out.
"Get up Blonde, its Christmas!" Colin shouted at her.
She stared up at him dazed. "You've got to be joking."
"It's no joke, Colin's in the next room waking up Ben. We already got up Shelley and Dad. Think of this as a Christmas gift from us to you."
She was still dazed. "I'm sorry, think of what?"
"Of us waking you up last, not first." He said grinning as he started backing out of the room.
She stared at him. "Oh get lost!" she grabbed a pillow and threw it at his head.
He ducked, still smiling. "No going back now, we've already woken you up!" And with that he shut the door.
"Agrhh!" She fell back against the pillows.
She turned her head towards her window and then saw it.
The dress and the rose.
Yesterday flooded back into her mind.
She grinned stupidly.
She sighed and rolled back into her blanket.
But then she suddenly sat up.
The two cats were sitting in the corner of the room on a forgotten pillow.
She watched the kitten she'd found last night. It was curled into a little fluff ball next to Will, who seemed to be enjoying himself.
She leaned back against her bed frame.
Colin was right, no going back to sleep if you've been woken up like that.
Two seconds later, Ben opened her bedroom door looking sleep deprived, his hair a mess and in his pyjamas. He leaned against her door frame.
"I will..kill..them." he said through a big yawn.
"I'll join." She yawned as well.
"He said, 'if were not down there in five minutes, they're getting the hose'." He rolled his eyes.
She groaned. "You and Evie need to come up with another plan to sabotage them!"
He grinned.
She groggily got out of bed and grabbed a cardigan before heading downstairs with Ben.
Underneath the Christmas tree, there was multiple amounts of presents.
The TV was on and Dad and Robbie were sitting at the dining table with mugs of coffee in their hand.
Shelley was lounging on the long lounge with a blanket over herself. She looked asleep.
The twins were both sitting next to two rather odd shaped presents. They were covered in wrapping from top to bottom and were as tall as the twin's chests.
Ben went over to Shelly and went under the blanket opposite her head. She opened one eye, then shut it again. Apparently too tired to care.
"Okay dad, everyone's here now. Can we open them?" said Connor eagerly.
"Yeah, whatever go ahead." He nodded at them.
Before he had even finished speaking, they had torn into the wrapping paper.
"YES, YES, YES YES!" Colin was shouting.
"He got it! I can't believe he actually got it." Connor said amazed.
