Caroline stood staring at her reflection in the mirror. She had settled, finally with her dark blue skinny jeans, a white t-shirt, her black leather jacket and a pair of black ankle boots.

Her hair was like a curtain around her shoulders, straight. Evie had gone home to change for the party but had said she would meet Caroline back at her house at ten to six. Evie had gone throughout her wardrobe in search for an outfit for Caroline. Caroline had jumped every time Evie grabbed something and pulled it out, she wasn't very careful. Evie had pulled out a short dress, that Caroline now used as a shirt. Evie had wanted her to wear it. "What do you think I am?" Caroline had said. In the end Evie had given up, because Caroline wouldn't settle with anything she picked.

Caroline picked up her phone and checked the time, it read 5:45. She picked up her small hand bag and slung it over her shoulder. She gave Will a bit of dry food and walked out her door. She walked over to Ben's room and knocked twice. "Ben?" She called "You ready?"

He opened the door two seconds later, smiling. He was wearing a white v necked top with a light brown leather jacket, light blue jeans and white converse. Caroline took one look at his hair and hit him. "Don't you know what a comb or brush is? We're going to a bonfire, not the zoo!" She said with her eyebrows raised.

He ran his hand though his hair. "Better?" He said and then made a big smile showing all his teeth.

"No. Come on." She turned and started walking towards the stairs. He rolled his eyes behind her.

"So, where's Evie?" Asked Ben casually.

She turned and smirked at him. "She went home to get changed. You like her don't you?" She continued smirking.

"Nooo." He echoed.

"Well that's good." She said and went down the stairs.

Ben had a puzzeled look. "Why?"

"Because she's got a boyfriend." She went on.

"Boyfriend?" He echoed.

"Yep, and it happens to be that guy next door he's coming to night." She said over her shoulder but turned around when she saw Ben hadn't moved from the bottom of the stairs.

"What?" She said.

"I don't wanna go if that jerks going." He said.

"What! No please you can't leave me by myself!" She ran up to him.

"I won't know anyone!" He said.

"So won't I!" She answered as if this was obvious.

"Yes but you make friends really easily." He looked down.

"But." She made a pout face.

He tried keeping his face straight.

"Pleaseeeee!" She put in her best puppy face.

He sighed and started walking towards the door.

"Yes!" She hissed, and followed him as he opened the door.

Outside the night air was cool, it was twilight. Evie and her boyfriend were on his balcony making out. Ben looked away like he hadn't seen them. Caroline wasn't sure whether she should make a signal or walk up to them, it was really rather awkward. But luckily Evie took a break form kissing him and her eye caught sight of Caroline and Ben.

She waved wildly at them and grinned. She was wearing a shirt and short shorts. Jackson turned his head as well and smiled.

Ben quickly turned his head toward the trees across the road. Evie walked of the balcony with Jackson hand in hand. They walked over to them.
