AUTHORS NOTE: The dress above is the dress that Holly wears on the date.
Kaleb is home, is the first thing I think of when I open my eyes for the day. I get up and smile. He's home. I walk into my bathroom to brush my teeth and take a shower. Kaleb promised me as soon as he got home we would go out to dinner and spend the night together. My insides squirm in the shower at the thought of being with him. I miss his lips, his scent, his strong arms wrapped around me. I grab the body soap and start to clean my self. I shave practically every inch of my body for our date. When the water starts to run cold I take that as my cue to get out. I wrap my hair in a towel and put my bathrobe on.
I let my hair air dry and I get dressed in clean sweats. I cook myself a really late breakfast and eat to myself. After I clean the kitchen, I go upstairs to finish getting ready. My makeup is perfect. I line my eyes with a brown shade and do a smokey eye. I run a dark purple lip stain on my lips and wave my hair for the night. I spend about thirty minutes plucking my eyebrows to perfection. I take a long time deciding what I want to wear for me and Kaleb's special night. I go with a mint colored loose casual dress with long slitted sleeves. I pull some matching accessories to go alone with it. I wear some high heeled booties with my brown satchel. When I'm done getting ready I look at the time and it's about to be five. He texted me earlier to meet him at six at a small Italian restaurant. I snatch my keys to lock up the house and make my way to Kaleb. The drive feels incredibly long to town. I want to see Kaleb as soon as possible and the roads are tortuous.
Once I finally park, I spot Kaleb's car a few slots away and I shriek in excitement. I adjust my dress and fix my hair as I walk inside. Kaleb is sitting in the front on a worn out bench right in front of the few hostesses. When he notices my entrance his eyes light up and smile stretches across his face. He gets up and paces across the restaurant and lifts me up into a hug. He moans in relief. "You look so damn beautiful." He says into my hair. I wrap my arms around him and enjoy his warmth and smell. "Thank you." I blush. He grabs my head and pushes my lips against his. His kiss is soft and wet. His tongue peaks into my mouth and I gladly let it enter. He slowly puts me down, but doesn't break the kiss. We when stop our PDA he caresses my cheek with his thumb and looks in my eyes. "I missed you so much." He tells me. "I missed you too." I whine. He pulls me into a tight hug and I close my eyes in pleasure. His presence makes everything better.
We get a table and sit next to each other in a booth in the back. The place is low lighted and very romantic. "I'm going to go to bathroom and wash my hands." He tells me. "Okay." I smile and he places a soft peck on my lips. I sit there for a few moments by myself when a somewhat 40 year-old man with a spotty gray beard tumbles over across my booth. We make eye contact, but I quickly look away. "Hello." He says in a creepy way that sends chills down my spine. He takes a seat right next to me and put his arm around my shoulder. "What are you doing here by yourself?" He slurs and I can smell the whiskey on his breath. I quickly scramble away from him, but I am trapped and have no way to get out. My breathing becomes heavy and I start to panic. "What the fuck?" Kaleb voice booms. Relief washes over me and the old man turns his head to Kaleb, but doesn't seem phased by him. "Get the fuck away from her." He grabs the mans shirt collar and pulls him out of the booth leaving him floor. Kaleb is way too big and taller compared to the scrawny old man. When the man sees his towering over him, he gets up and stammers his way out of the restaurant. I let out a deep breath when Kaleb sits next to me and hugs me. I hold onto him and he holds me tighter. "Are you okay?" He sounds concerned. "Yeah. Thank God you came when you did." I tell him. He ruffles his hands through my hair and I inhale his scent.
After discussing what happened we change the subject to more lighter subjects. Our food and drink orders take long to come out, but we don't mind. We are lost in our own bubble. Talking about everything. "I have to tell you something." I say. His brown eyes soften as they pour into mine. "I ran into an old friend a couple weeks ago, Amy. She was here touring LSU and she spot me at the farmers market." I reveal. "Amy? Was she an old friend from...?" "Yeah." I state. He nods his head. "Well what happened?" He continues. "I invited her to her my house and we talked and caught up. That's pretty much it." I don't mention that I asked about Nathan. "That's good." Is all he says.
