Pilot

I woke up in the morning and got dressed and ready for the day that I've been dreading, my heart sank when I saw Elena walking down the stairs looking gloomy. I looked in the mirror and gave myself a half smile before grabbing my bag I had packed yesterday before rushing down the stairs and into the kitchen with everyone else.

" it's all about the coffee Jenna " elena said as she poured herself some coffee, I smiled and walked over to the fridge and poured myself some orange juice. Coffee wasn't really my thing, neither was tea, orange juice for the win. "is there coffee " Jeremy asked coming in and took the cup elena just poured receiving a looks of disbelief,

" it's your first day of school and I'm total unprepared " Jenna said and walked over to her bag. " lunch money " she said and walked over to elena and Jeremy. Elena nodded no and Jeremy took both. I smiled and shook my head before taking a zip of orange juice, " anything else...a number two pencil " she joked but then stopped, " what am I missing?"

" don't you have that presentation today?" I asked tempering her talking about it yesterday as we made dinner, which went well, if I acids miss of myself. "I'm meeting with my thesis adviser at..." She checked her watch and her face visibly fell when she saw the time " now, crap " she said and started to fix her hair.

"go we're fine " Elena told her and she left in a rush, then turning to Jeremy, Elena asked him something and he said something back, I didn't hear them as I was stuck in my thoughts. I put my glass in the sink before walking off, but then I felt a freedom in my movements and looked down to see my shoes missing. I groaned. " how did I forget my shoes "

Elena laughed " it's always your shoes "

" I mean....like everyday " I said and walked back upstairs and got my black combat boots and put them on then walked down stairs to see both Elena and Jeremy gone, sighing I rushed out the door  and began walking to school with a pit in my stomach.

I got to the office and got my stuff set up for school back here, while that was getting ready I was talking to ms. Shale the lady at the office. She remember me surprisingly, she said it was because of the birthmark for head. It was small, but it looked like a smile face.

"So how was Europe? Meet and boys?" She questioned with a raised brow and I shook my head shyly, though that was a lie, I just wanted to start the year with nothing about yet past coming up. "No and it was great." I sighed a dreamy sigh "it was perfect actually. I had good friends, Great teachers... There was this cafe down the street from the school...." I could go one but I stopped myself when I saw her smiling, I couldn't help but smile too, I missed Europe.

"That sounds wonderful sweetie. Here's your schedule" she handed me the paper and I gave a smile and nod before I walked off. As I walked out the office I bumped into someone, and dropped my papers. I sighed then picked them up without looking at the person. I'm still clumsy and still scared to look at who the person was, hoping and wishing it wasn't Tyler or anyone that use to push me around.
