Chapter 11

Sounds of screaming and crying filled Kylie's head as she opened her eyes. She looked around to see if she could see anyone. The room was white and padded, across the room there was a girl chained to the wall. Her hair was brown and messy, her skin was pale and her veins were somewhat visible, the hospital gown she wore was dirty and tattered.

"H-hello?" Kylie called to her. The girl didn't move but a low groan escaped her pale lips. The lights flickered a bit as the girl looked up at Kylie. Her mouth parted into a snarl as she viciously pulled at the chains. Kylie screamed and tried to get lose. The girl broke free and inched towards Kylie. Getting closer and closer she got ready to lunged. Kylie closed her eyes to get ready for the worse but only to feel a warm liquid cover her. Opening her eyes a shriek escaped her mouth as the headless vamp laid on the floor.

A boy stood in the door way sparks of electricity sparked off of him. His red eyes visible through his shaggy hair. Grinning making his fangs visible.
"Sorry sis but I'm hungry." He said looking at his headless sister. Walking up to Kylie he bit into her arm and drank. Screaming Kylie tried to pull away.

An hour or so later Kylie woke up her arm healed no visible mark showing. She felt the urge to drink blood and to kill looking up she saw the boy standing there. Red scarlet blood covered his mouth as his eyes glowed red in the shadows. The room was cold and a bit dim than before. Sparks flew from the boy landing on the floor.
"Sorry but I was hungry." He said with a smirk "well I am always hungry." He wiped his mouth with a rag and tossed it to Kylie. The room became silent besides the loud fan some where in the room.

Kylie glared at him and felt her stomach have a sharp pain.
She let out a scream and shouted
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME!!" He only raised a brow and smirked.
"Welcome to the family." He looked at the lights making a bolt of electricity shoot from his hand to the lights. The room became brighter from the sudden bolt and she was able to see clearly. Blood stained the floor where the headless body remained.

"T-that's your sister?" She asked looking at the body. He nodded grinning as he spoke she could clearly hear he was Irish and looked up at him.
"Her body rejected the venom. Besides her boyfriend wanted her to join us so badly so giving her more venom made her rejection worse. Sadly she became this sick monster. Had to end her suffering ya know." He crossed his arms.
Kylie looked at the rope that once tied her wrists and stood up.

"you are one of us? Well ....them?" She asked. He raised his brow in a questioning manner.
"Them?" He asked. Kylie nodded and sighed.
"There are others like you...with abilities.."
He looked at her and chuckled
"I have heard of them. Different vamps with abilities. One of the vamps able to posses each ability while the others have one. I know for a fact I am the one who can have all of them."

"No we already found him.." The boy stood up fast from the pole he was leaning on his eyes glowing dark and growled.
"My father told me I was suppose to be the one..." He looked at Kylie.
"We will finish this discussion some other time..but for now follow me I will show you to your room." He turned to leave but Kylie shouted.
"I'm going back to my friends and to my school. I'm not staying here!" He stopped in his tracks and turned to her growling.
"I'd like to see you try. Vampires like us can't survive out in the sun like they can! They don't have the venom like us! We will catch flame and burn they can withstand the sun more than we can!" He got in her face growling still "so go ahead burn. See if I care." He turned to leave only to be stopped.

"Fine I'll stay.." Kylie walked up to him and looked at him dead in the eye. "But I want to know your name if I go with you." The boy looked at her "My name is Ethan." Kylie nodded and followed him. The corridors were long and dark a few lights shone in the hall here and there. A few vamps were out and about the halls saying hello to Ethan but gave Kylie a glare. Finally they stopped at the end of the corridor the taller vamp opened the door for Kylie and let her walk in. Looking around she let out a sigh.

Ethan walked into the room.
"This will be your room from now on. You are one of us and you will start acting like one of us." He turned on the light and Kylie's things were in the room.
"Where did you get my things? How did you get on campus?" Ethan chuckled.
"I have ways. But for now you stay here. I know it sucks not being one of those who are gifted. One of the odd ones out. Grant it I have a gift. But it's great not being bossed around. What do you say be free and kill who you want when ever you want.drink as much blood as you please." Ethan looked down at Kylie.

Realization hit Kylie and she smiled
"Yea lets be free.  No one to tell us what to do." She smiled. "Let the fun begin." Ethan smiled as he watched her eyes glow.
"Let's go have fun."

The night shined brightly as Ethan and Kylie hid among the trees. A woman walked along the path in the park texting on her phone too busy to notice Kylie and Ethan sneaking up on her. Kylie lunged at the woman and dug her fangs into her neck. A sweet taste filled her mouth as blood poured into her mouth. Ethan covered the woman's mouth to keep her from screaming but soon she stopped screaming and went limp. Kylie lifted her face from the woman's neck and breathes heavily her eyes glowing red as she snapped the woman's neck.
