Chapter 12

Carson walked around the campus reading the notes he had taken for his vamp history class.
"1909 original vamp king ..." He trailed off as he kept reading. The moonlight shone brightly as he walked around his eyes glowing in the moonlight. A shadowed figure stood behind a shrub staring Carson down. Valentina walked out and walked over to Carson.
"Carson we have located another but he is far from our reach and he is in enemy territory. We believe he is with the enemy and Kaiden wants to try and get him to join."

Carson looked at Valentina.
"Where is he at?" He asked her closing the book. She raised a finger and reached in her pocket.
"We have his location here but it's dangerous." She handed him the paper and crossed her arms. He opened the paper and looked at it then at her. "This is Ireland! Besides what about Kylie? She's gone and we need to find her." There was a long silence then Valentina sighed. "This is more important because when the war comes we need to be prepared. We have to be ready to make sure the world doesn't go to shit and some sacrifices have to be made." She placed a hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry about Kylie I will try everything to get her found and back here safe and sound. Don't worry." The taller vamp nodded and looked at his book. "What about school?"
"I got us 3 week off." She said smiling. Carson nodded and went to his dorm to pack. Daniel laid on his bed reading a book when Carson walked in.
"Oh, hello Carson." He said smiling. He watched the other pack his bags and sat up. "Where are you going?"
"I'm going with the others I'll be gone for 3 weeks.." He replied finishing packing up his bags. Daniel stood up and grabbed some bags and packed them as well.
"You aren't going Daniel." The other vamp looked at Carson. I want to help and sitting at this god forsaken school won't be any fucking better." The room grew silent as Daniel packed his bag. Standing by the door Carson watched and regretted telling him in fear of his safety.
"I'll meet you outside.." He finally said and walked outside seeing everyone there already. The quad area was empty because all the students had gone to bed. The group of friends looked around the quad the trees swaying in the wind the moon shine brightly each friends eyes glowed dark. Carson suddenly jumped as he hard a female voice call out to them.
"What do you think you guys are doing?" The friends looked over where the voice came from and saw a girl standing there.

Carson's heart sank and he spoke "shit its Lisa.." The blonde walked over giving Carson a loved look before glaring at the rest of the group.
"Who in hell are you guys?" She panned over the friends stopping at Mikey "awe look it's the short loser." She grinned standing next to Carson. She looked at Valentina and gripped onto Carson.
"Who the hell is that!?" She glared at Valentina. Valentina calmly looked at Lisa.
"None of your business." She replied back to her. Lisa had her hand behind her back. "Well he isn't no where with you." Lisa grabbed ahold of Carson. Valentina raised a brow and shook her head. "Sorry princess but he is going with us." Lisa became angry and pulled out a silver knife stabbing at Valentina. With swift movement Valentina took the knife and stabbed Lisa from under the chin and into her head. She glared at Lisa " don't think I know one of your kind when I see one?" She showed a symbol tattooed on the back of her neck that was hidden by her hair. Carson remembered seeing the symbol in a book, but the page that explained it was ripped out. "H-hey what does that symbol mean? I remember seeing it.." Kaiden walked up to Carson "it's a symbol of service to the shadowed children. Vamps or humans will get them to show their loyalty and service. Once the children decide they deserved their spot amongst the ranks they will change them into one of their own. Each vamp that became the shadowed children carries a venom in their bite that changes them into one of their own. They are ruthless and blood thirsty."

Carson heard sniffling and looked at Lisa her eyes filled with tears. He didn't know why but he had a sudden urge to free Lisa from Valentina's grasp. Kaiden quickly took the knife from Valentina and dragged it down till it went through the heart. Lisa screamed and turned to burning ember. The night crackled from the ember as it faded away. Without a word Kaiden put the knife away and looked at Carson. "Sorry about your girlfriend" he said Carson looked at Kaiden with a blank look "I'm gay..." He said just then Daniel walked out. "Sorry for the wait I was getting ready." He said he had seen the look on everyone's face. "What? Did I miss something?" He asked.

The wind howled as the leaves flickered in the trees. The roads were dead empty as if everyone had simply disappeared. The car sped off down the road until they reached a gas station, pulling in they parked at a pump as Kaiden walked inside to pay for gas Alex had got out to put the nozzle into the tank so the gas can pump. Carson fidgeted in the backseat worried if blurting out his sexuality would ruin the friendship between all his friends. Valentina noticed his uneasiness and reassured him that everything will be fine. After the gas was pumped they left towards the airport by now the sky filled with clouds and Daniel being a mystic person frowned "The way these clouds appeared out of no where seems like something bad is coming our way."
Kaiden turned the headlights off so if they were being followed they would be hidden in darkness. The eyes of every vamp glowed as they were able to see in the dark. An hour passed and they pulled into the airport taking a back road to the runway. In the runway two planes where there one a cargo that the car would be put into and the other a pitch black jet. The car was parked into the cargo and the group in the jet ready to go and buckled up as they took off. Looking out the window Carson mentally said his goodbyes to his home and as they pulled away further and further from the runway he could have sworn he saw a flash from in the trees.

I'm very sorry for taking so long to update I have been bed bound and hospitalized from being sick for a very long time. I swear I will try my absolute hardest to update as much as suppose to it may not be when I planned but I will try my best. :c I sorry.

Also one more thing I may have made mistakes in this chapter and my meds is making me extremely tired so when I went back to edit and check for errors I changed some but feel like I didn't fix all so let me know where a mistake is and I'll go back and fix it.
