The letter was very intimidating, especially since it felt as if it was burning a hole through my hand. I've never received a letter as exciting as this in my life. I get to present an award to a famous footballer in a televised ceremony that half of the footballing world will watch! The award was for footballers who have done exceptionally well in the 2014 Brazil World Cup. There would be three awarded and I got to hand out one of them, while the other two would be awarded by other famous personnels, although they weren't mentioned in the letter. The letter did also say however that I was allowed to bring a plus-one. The first person I thought of was of course Chris.

I was so excited about this whole thing that I completely forgot about one small detail.

Cristiano Ronaldo will be there.

All the excitement had drained out and was replaced by nervousness and anger.

I mean no one will know that there was something going on between us except for him and I but I don't want anyone to get suspicious about us- especially Chris.

I sighed as I stuffed the letter back in its envelope. It's funny to think that before, I couldn't wait to open the letter and now I can't wait to close it.

I decided to meet up with Chris so I can tell him all about the invitation and to ask him if he's willing to come. We decided to meet at his since he couldn't leave the house for he had to rehearse for a new scene that he was going to film in two days.

I dressed up casually and headed out for my car quickly.

I didn't know whether I was excited to tell him or not.

I parked in his garage and rang the doorbell. He opened almost immediately and he just so happened to be topless...I have a feeling that he did that on purpose.

"Ugh, get that away from me," I scoffed jokingly, shoving him gently to get inside.

"Woah don't touch the art," he smirked as he brushed the 'dirt' away from his chest.

"You're hilarious," I rolled my eyes as I slumped down on his leopard-print couch with the pink cushions (I always wondered who the hell designed his living room for him).

"What's up? You don't usually come here on weekdays," he asked as he placed himself next to me.

"Well," I began, "I got this invitation to present an award at the Fifa Ballon D'or ceremony in Zurich on the 12th of January and I was wondering if you can come with me as my plus one?"

Chris stared at me blankly for what seemed like an eternity until he finally said, "What's a Ballon D'Or?"

I facepalmed myself at the idiocy of his question.

I gathered all my patience up and sighed before replying, "It's this award show for footballers where they receive awards for 'Player of the Year' or 'women's team of the year' and so on."

"And what are you presenting again?" He asked, probably not even listening to me.

"Outstanding player at the 2014 World Cup. Remember there was a world cup last year? It was a pretty big deal."

"Yeah yeah I remember and did you say it was in Munich?"

"No in Zurich! Will you pay attention to me please?" I glared at him while he was toying with a little teddy bear that was left on his cabinet.

"Whose is that?" I asked as I stared suspiciously at the bear.

"It's Rafael's. He left it here when you guys came over the other day," he mumbled as he smiled to himself. He thought he was hiding that smile well but I can see it very clearly from under his bent head and I couldn't help but smile as well. I love it how Chris cares so much for Rafael and wants to spend as much time as possible.

"Anyway, what date is it?" He asked, as he placed the teddy firmly back on the cabinet so that he can listen to me.

"Ok good you're listening. Let's do a recap. So it's on the 12th of January, in Zurich. The ceremony starts at 7pm but I have to be there before for soundcheck and all that. And of course, you're my plus one."

"12 th of January? Are you free on that day? Because I am."

I nodded," Me too."

"Ok but what about Rafael? And plane tickets? And accommodation?"

"Calm down! Well Rafael will have to stay with Maria. We'll only stay there for three days. They've paid for plane tickets and accommodation as well."

Chris nodded, taking all this information in.

"Sounds good," he finally said and I squealed as I hugged him so hard that we both toppled on the couch, laughing our heads off.
