After staying in the cabin all night, Chris and I woke up to a loud thud on the door. We still had no clothes and I was back in top of Chris. We got up slowly and got dressed in the extra clothes we had brought. I grabbed a banana from the food pile and Chris grabbed a granola bar dipped in chocolate. I scanned my finger and opened the door. It was a police officer.

"Good morning." Officer Gary said.

"Good morning Gary." I said.

Gary was a good friend of my parents. I had basically grew up with him and his son, Stormie. He was 23 this year.

"What are you doing here, kid?" He asked.

"Me and my boyfriend wanted to get away from all the drama so we rebuilt his cabin so we could see outside but outside couldn't see us."

"Oh really. How old is your boyfriend. What is his name?"

"Chris is 18. Why?"

"I am just wondering. Chris, come out here please." Gary called.

"Hello officer. What brings you here?" Chris asked.

"You're under arrest for impersonating someone." Gary said, pulling off fake skin stuff.

"What is going on?" I asked.

"This man is not your boyfriend you thought he was. His name is Carmen."

I looked closely at the boy I thought was Chris.

"What. How. Why?" I almost started to cry.

"Chris is at home, waiting for you. Unharmed." Carmen said.

I ran out of the cabin. I ran as fast as I could to get home. I didn't say anything to anyone when I ran inside. I ran straight to my room. I was glad the girls were not in there. I slammed the door and locked it. I started to cry uncontrollably. I didn't even here Casey come through the secret way and sit on my bed. I jumped when he put his hand on my arm. As soon as I saw him, I hugged him. He wrapped his arms around me and asked what was wrong. I told him everything that happened. He held me tighter. I heard someone fumble with the door knob. I stood up and unlocked it. It was Chris, I think. I ran back to Casey and hid behind him. The look on his face said that he was real. No one else could copy that look, I knew that for sure. I stood up and walked to him. I put my hands on his face and pulled.

"Ow." Chris yelled, grabbing my hands.

I started to cry again and wrapped my arms around him. He put his arms around me and lifted me in the air. He put me down on my bed and Casey left. Chris wiped the tears from my face and asked what was wrong. I explained everything to him like I did to Casey. He just stood and walked out of the room. He was gone for maybe an hour and when he got home, he had blood down his shirt. His arms were cut up and his pants had cuts in them. I ran to him, hugged him, and I kissed his lips softly. I brought him to the bathroom and got some peroxide so I could clean his cuts. He explained to me that he went to the police officer that took Carmen, but Carmen got away and Gary was trying to track him. Suddenly, Carmen came out from a black car and attacked him with a knife.

"I punched him in the face and broke his nose. He fell down long enough for Officer Gary to put handcuffs on him. I went with him to make sure he was put in jail for sure and that he wouldn't get out. Officer Gary brought me home after that. I told him that I didn't want him to take me to the hospital for the knife injuries. He said okay and brought me here." Chris explained slowly.

Every now and then he stopped and clenched his teeth. When I was done cleaning his cuts, I had to bandage the deeper ones. After he was done, he stood up and took my hands in his. He helped me up and held me tight. He kissed my forehead.
