Tatum's POV:
So many emotions ran through my head. What if I mess up? What if I embarrass myself? Oh gosh, this is rough. My heart is beating out of my chest. My knees are weak. My palms are sweaty. I've never been so nervous in my life. But I am so excited! I need to calm down as well, though. This is going to be one of the best nights of my life. The night I get to meet my role models. My idols. My celebrity crush.
I stepped out of the shower, wrapping a small white towel around my body. I clutched the small cloth and walked into my bedroom. As I dug through my closet, I was hoping for the perfect outfit. One to blow them away. One that they will remember. But who am I kidding? They won't remember me. Who would?
I finally found the perfect outfit, if that's what you call it. I slid on my clothes, making sure not to wrinkle them in the process. Outfit on top. I slid a pair of black ankle socks, and my black Chuck Taylor's. Or as you might know them as, converse. Afterwards, I walked back into the bathroom. I grasped the blow drier, plugging it into the outlet in the wall. I put it on high and moved it all around my head, causing my hair to become dry. My dirty blonde hair was naturally, beautifully curly, so I just touched it up a bit. I did my makeup, just some mascara and eyeliner, sometimes. I don't like eyeshadow. I don't like blush, or lipstick. I'm pretty plain. And, I'm done.
I grabbed my phone from my nightstand, sitting next to my bed. I shoved it into my back pocket. Then, I heard the click of my bedroom door open. I spun around, coming face to face with my best friend, Jordan. Her bleach blonde hair was perfectly straight, while her makeup was on point. She smiled at me, and looked at my outfit giving a thumbs up. I giggled.
Jordan was wearing a pair of jean shorts as well, but darker, with rips as well. Her plain white shirt was covered up with a red flannel. Her beautiful blue eyes sparkled, as always. I am so jealous. But who would be? She's gorgeous. She's gonna be the one to get the guy's attention. Not me.
"Tatum, you look great! Trying to get the guys to notice you? Eh?" She chuckled, smiling with her perfect white teeth. I laughed, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear. Biting my lip, I nodded.
"You look great too. And yes, I just don't want to mess this up," I huffed. Jordan placed a hand on my shoulder.
"Hey, you'll be fine. They're just guys, calm down," she confirmed. Yeah, she was right, they're just guys. Oh, who am I kidding? They're not just guys! They're the hottest, sweetest, most passionate guys on this earth!
The way this band takes their music, makes me feel good, I guess. They try their hardest to make the songs amazing for their fans. They can play pretty much any instrument in the universe. They can sing, dance, and act. When I watch them perform, it inspires me. I play guitar, and sing a little. Jordan and I have a little YouTube channel, I guess. But my point is, they mean everything to me, and they obviously aren't just guys. They're my life.
"You ready to go?" She jumped a bit. I nodded, closing my eyes, taking a deep breath before we walked out of my bedroom.
We slowly trotted down the steps, meeting my mother; Stacy, in the kitchen. Her hair, a bit darker than mine, but gorgeous. She pushed a piece behind her shoulder and walked up to me. I nodded as she asked if I was ready. Jordan, getting overly excited, jumped and grabbed my hand, dragging me out the front door. My mother followed, locking the door behind her. I sat in the front passenger seat in the car, as my friend sat in the back.
The engine roared as my mom turned on the car. I kept my window up, so that my hair didn't get messed up. We pulled out and was on our way. The streets of Cali were busy today. I watched the traffic pass by us. The window was my main focus on the drive there. Well, I really couldn't focus. Oh my gosh.
We pulled up into the parking lot, as Jordan shrieked in the backseat. She was obviously full of excitement, as where I am just nervous. Don't get me wrong, I mean, I'm stoked to be here. I finally get to meet my idols. The people who can make me feel better, just by hearing their voices.
