Nicolette's POV

"W-what?" I stuttered. I thought he was 18.

"I'm sorry." He mumbled. I nodded looking away.

"25..." I said under my breath.

"Well honestly I'm not going to see him anytime soon." I said. He looked at me with raised eyebrows.

"But you love him?" I paused for a second.

"No. Of course I really like him maybe.. but no not love yet." I said and he nodded.

"That's understandable."

"Have you ever loved someone?" Faith asked curiously. My eyes wandered over to her, to see her staring at me, waiting for an answer.

"Um." I nervously said.

"Yeah. You could call it love I guess." I calmed down. Out of the corner of my eye I saw she smiled. I had an idea what was going through her head.

"What happened?" Stephen asked.

"We just... Drifted apart I guess. I don't think our love ever faded, we just we're separated from each other."

"So you still love him?" He asked. I paused, thinking if I should say him or her. I glanced over at Faith, seeing lust in her eyes.

"I don't know..." Even though I meant Faith, I looked over to her again and her eyes changed. From lust and love to tears and sadness. I gave her a sympathetic look, but she quickly got up.

"Well, I'm going to the bathroom. Brb." She walked away to what I was guessing was the restroom. I stood up also, about to follow her.

"I do too, brb." I said to Stephen and rushed off. Once I got to the bathroom, I opened the door and closed it.

"Go away." Faith said monotone.

"What, why?" I asked. She had tears in her eyes.

"Just go away." Her voice cracked. I walked up to her and put my arms around her waist from the back, looking at her through the mirror she was in front of.

"What's wrong." I put my face into her neck.

"No, don't do that."

"Why?" I said, scoffing.

"Because like you said, you don't know anymore!" She raised her voice a little. I backed up, not wanting to argue about this. I scoffed one last time before I left, making my way back to the pool.

"Ugh, I don't feel too good. I think I'm gonna go back up to the house." I lied to Stephen. He didn't seem to notice though. He nodded getting up.

"What are you doing?" I asked. He started collecting my stuff along with his.

"I'm going up with you. I don't want you to face the wrath of Spring alone. He smiled playfully, and I giggled, grabbing my stuff.

"I like your laugh. It's cute." He said to me.

"Thanks." I smiled. I started walking, but suddenly got scooped up off the ground by Stephen. I gasped and put my arms around his neck.

"Goodness you scared the shit out of me Stephen." I laughed.

"Haha, sorry sweetheart." He smiled as he walked toward the house.

When we finally entered the house, he carried me to my bedroom, laying me down on the bed.

Where's your pjs?" He asked. I pointed to the second drawer on one of the dressers. He opened it and pulled out my grey Hollister shorts, along with a grey tank top.

"Underwear?" He asked. I pointed to the first drawer on the same dresser. He got out pink 'boy shorts' and a matching bra. He handed me them and sat on the bed.

"Thanks. Um, a little privacy?" I asked, laughing lightly. He stuffed his head under the heavy blanket. I laughed and stood up, changing. When I was done, I threw the bikini in the washer without turning it on. I went back into my room and Stephen smiled at me. I smiled back, laying back on the bed. I took out my phone, and looked at the time. 7:19 pm. It should start to get dark outside soon. I sighed and put my phone on the side table. I looked over at Stephen. I patted next to me and he scooted over and laid down next to me.

"Will you go back to him?" He asked me. I thought for a second. I can't abandon him just like that. Even though he is a little old for me.

"Yes. But our relationship will have to grow to where we were again. He basically lied to me. But then again I never asked." I reasoned.

"Oh." He said.

"Well do you know how long you'll be here?"

"Justin told me we'd be back togeher soon, but I'm not stupid. It's going to be a while. It could possibly be up to a few years..." I trailed off. It's true. These guys he's dealing with are dangerous, and he'd do anything and go to any extent to keep me alive and safe. Even if that means not being with me.

"Well all I can say to you, is take advantage of it. I know you can't be seen out in public too much, and you'll miss him like crazy, but you can't mope around the whole time." Stephen stood up and went to the door. Before he walked away he turned back.

"One more thing Nicki." I looked at him.

"Have patience. God isn't finished yet." He smiled and closed my door, walking down the hallway.
