Chapter 4: A couple?!

Natsu's pov
I sigh and smile as I carry Lucy's sleeping form. My cheeks a flushed red, not from the constant heckling from a certain blue exceed, but from the beauty of the sleeping girl in my arms. Happy lands on my head and sighs happily. "So Natsu... Are you and Lucy a couple now? I mean she did kiss you after all." I flush red at the thought, in no way did I hate the idea but it did scare me that maybe I'm reading her feelings wrong. I smile and sigh, "I don't know buddy but... I do love her, and I wanna be with her so happy dont tell her about anything we just said." I giggle and flash him a sad smile as we make our way to the edge of magnolia. "Happy I'm gonna take Lucy home so can you let everyone know we'll be at her apartment." I walk towards her small apartment, with each step it's like she's becoming more and more a part of me. I can't help but fall in love with her with each step I take. I walk through her building until I reach her room. Once inside I lay her in her bed, she starts to look like she's afraid. She searches her bed for something and then I hear it, her sad and lonely voice. "Natsu where are you?" I tear up at hearing the fear in her voice. I climb into the bed with her, I wrap my arms around her protectively. "Don't worry Lucy... I won't ever let you go." I close my and kiss her sleeping lips.

At the guild.
The room is sad, depressed and quiet. Everyone's attention turned to the door as a panting and exauseted blue ball roles into the guild. "Everyone Natsus been killed and Lucy was forced to marry a monster!!!" Everyone's eyes widen and some start crying. Happy looks around and starts to laugh and cover his mouth. "Gotcha! Natsu and Lucy are at Lucy's apartment sleeping." Carla who was holding a crying Wendy jumps on him and starts shaking him. "You idiot! How could you do that to us we were all worried sick! We didn't know if any of you were coming back and you have the nerve to come back and.... Happy your back!" She hugs the soft smiling exceed, he rubs her back as everyone else cheers and starts drinking. "I know Carla, I know I'm sorry but I just wanted you to hug me likes this." She clings to him crying and laughing all in the mix.

Erza smiles happily as she looks at the hugging Gajeel and Levy, then turning to the crying Juvia clinging to a smiling Gray. "Oh my love is quite powerful isn't it?" Master stands beside the blushing Erza. His smile gracing his old and wise face, "any word from jellal lately?" The requip Mage lets out a soft sigh along with a beautiful and happy smile, "he's going to be in magnolia for the next week." The master chuckles and starts to push her out, "now then why don't we go check on Lucy and Natsu." Everyone at the sound of his voice made their way towards the silent and peaceful apartment.

Lucy's pov
I stir softly feeling the effects of the last fight on my body wait... "I'm in my bed?" I try to sit up but a warm and comforting arm holds me softly. My mind races as the image of him carrying me the entire way. I smile at the feel of the only person in this world that I love this much. I pull the blanket down to see the fiery dragon that had given me my purpose for living, he not only brought me to fairy tail but has saved me countless times. I lean over to kiss him softly but then I see it... My eyes widen I continue to look. Food wrappers, crumbs, and even whole pieces of food in my bed. I growl and push him out of my bed with a hard push of my foot. As he jumps up I try to be as stern as I can but can't help but let a small smile spread across my lips. "Natsu what have I told you about eating in my bed? I could get ants or bugs but not only that but it's natsy." I keep looking at him, his soft smile, and his shirtless chest with his messy hair driving me crazy inside but when he finally speaks I lose it, "Lucy... I love you." His voice is so sweet and loving I can't help but pounce on him and kiss him. I bury my fingers in his long pink hair, out lips seeming so shy that anything longer then a moment causes them to retreat from the others. I blush at his question following that, "hey Lucy are we a couple?" I start laughing hard, reciving his pouty lips in response. I pull his lips to mine as I blush. "Silly... I thought we already were a couple." I chuckle as he turns so red his head starts steaming. As I laugh I look up to see half of the guild looking down at us and smiling. Natsu not noticing yet like an idiot says the most embarising possible in this situation. "So does that make you my mate?" Everyone's including my own face flushing red. Gray finally clears his throat, causing Natsu to whip around to his rival and 'unofficial' bestfriend. "So it's true flame brains hooking up with Lucy." Happy snickers behind him. "I told you so."

3rd person pov
Natsu and Lucy both flush at his comment. Natsu stands up and yells "you've got it all wrong we weren't mating yet, we were just sleeping and I was eating in her bed and stuff happened and... YOU KNOW WHAT GET THE HELL OUT!!!" He yells at Gray causing a fist fight between all the boys, it progresses downstairs now leaving the girls alone to chat. Levy gets a devilish smirk as she nudges her writing buddy, "so who kissed who first and who confessed?" Lucy's face boils red as she answers. "W-well he said he loved me and then... After I thought he died but he didn't I couldn't help myself and I kissed him." Most of the girls sequel and giggle. Erza being the calm and collected one crosses her arms but blushes, "s-so Lucy what's it's like to be in love and kiss him?" Lucy didn't seem to be embarrassed by that question as a smile forms across her lips. "Well it's... Magical, I know that sounds cliché but it's true, when we kiss I feel like I am his world and it could all fade away around us and he'd still love me and protect me." Most of them think of the one they love at the same time, most of them being driven back to reality by the voices of the ones they love. A hand picks up the tiny and blushing levy "let's go shrimp, you said you'd read to me today and I wanna figure out if the dragon gets his princess." Levy happily holds onto him. Gray's hand rubbing Juvia's head, "alright Juvia lets go work on that unison raid again." Juvia happily does as he wants. Erza is quickly drawn back to her world by the soft slow words of a blue haired man, "hello scarlet... It's been a while, would you join me for a walk?" Scarlet grabs his hand to the point a crack can be heard. She quickly runs out, dragging him along, a bright blush on her cheeks. Everyone else leaving the new couple alone. Natsu and Lucy look at each other in an awkward silence before smiling and siting beside each other, the fingers intertwined as they hold hands.

Gajeel and levy's pov

The two sit under a tree away from the other guild members. Levys head resting against the iron dragons muscular chest. She continues to read to him as he blushes and puts an arm around her, this sudden change causing Levy's face to flush as well. Her voice is soft as she reaches the end of the story. "And the dragon slowly drifted to sleep with his fragile princess under his scared yet strong and beautiful wing." She closes the book and looks up to find a sleeping gajeel. She giggles softly and kisses his lips before leaning into him and closing her eyes, "I guess fairy tales do come true." Gajeel pulls her closer as she drifts to sleep.

Lucy and Natsu's pov
Hey Luce." Natsu murmurs to the blond laying beside him. Her soft smile moves to his lips as she answers, knowing the question he's gonna ask. "Yes Natsu, I'll always love you and stay by your side. Your my King aren't you?" She blushes as she sits up now dressed in her nightgown. Natsu chuckles softly as he pulls her into his chest. "Stop asking dumb questions Luce... Of course you are. I'll always be by your side, so that I can keep my queen." He blushes as well as she squeaks at a sudden kiss. Natsu smiles at her as he wraps his scarf around them. "Think of my scarf as our red string off fate... One will ever cut that string, I promise." He giggles and yawns. Lucy does the same but buries her face into his neck falling asleep once again.

Back at the dark and destroyed castle a shadowy figure makes its way in the direction towards magnolia. It's cold and insane laugh vibrating off the world around it. "Natsu Dragneel you will be mine and only mine before this year meets its end." He laughs pushing one leg In front of the other, etching it's way closer to magnolia.
