Chapter 8: I'm Back

Natsu's pov: 

As I sit at the table I can hear the low voice of the master as he makes his way over and put his hand on my shoulder. "Natsu... I know it's not easy to accept but your magic is gone and it may never come back. but that doesn't mean your not a member of the guild... a member of our family. Even without magic you'll always be Natsu. Remember my brat, you're the one that said we cant be afraid of the darkness, how could we when you have all of us here beside you." He lets out an old scratchy laugh as he begins to float away. As I watch him disappear into the direction of the multiple devastating explosions I can feel a weight on my chest building. "Damn it... I get it gramps. I'm coming everyone!" As I let out a yell I take off running for the battle field. Fear, anger, anxiety, and even a sense of pure conviction wash over me as I run. "EVERYONE WAIT FOR ME!!!" I cry out as I run.

Third Person POV:

Explosions and flames covered the battlefield, a beaten and battered Gajeel left hanging in the jaw of one of the dragons. Its dark black skin covering it face, arms and back while it chest and under lined features showed a proud crimson red. A large horn standing tall at the end of its nose, another pair of horns above its head.  As it walked two smaller dragons looking close to the same species followed close at the leaders tail. Their dark blue skin showing off their elements with almost a cocky flaunt. 

As everyone came running and saw the three dragons their once loud and haunty attitudes faded as they stood face to face with not only the dragons but also a masked man. Out of the large crowd only two stepped forward, a blond young woman with a shorty crying blue haired woman. As Lucy's voice sounded the fear became clear, "Give us back Gajeel! Just leave us alone... please just leave!" As she speaks the mans laugh echoed over the now quiet city. "You want me to leave? But I've found it! I've found my Titana! I've found my bride!" He laughed more as he jumped from the the head of the black and red dragon. Landing in the middle of the crowd, cupping Erza's cheek with a soft hand. As he stood there his long and thick black cape wrapped around him, his noble dress shirt stayed tight against his body as he panted in an happiness as he smiled down at the woman before him. "Wont you come away with me? I've admired you long before you became the fairy queen." His voice was sweet and soft as he stared into the woman's now harsh and angry eyes. Everyone else stared on in shock, even Gray was left speechless. As the crimson haired beauty spoke the man's once happy and kind smile faded. "You destroy my home. You attacked my friend. And you ask me to run away with you? I'd rather die then betray my family." The man now retreated to the dragon once again as he roared as he stood on the dragons head. "Then maybe once this "family" is gone maybe then you'll reconsider!" as he finished he slammed his black boots into the dragons head. With roar it raised back onto his hind legs and blew out purple flames onto the guild members. In a desperate attempt Erza requiped  into her shield armor, rushing out front and slamming the two half's of the shield together, putting up her protective magic. She desperately held out as parts of her armor blew of along with parts of the the magic circle. The last wave of flames pushing her over her limit and sending her flying back into the wall of a fallen building, Lucy rushing to her side and holding the now weak and almost lifeless woman. "Erza... get up." Lucy lets out a weak cry as she holds her friend.

After watching Erza being taken out so easily, more guild members backed away in , some even running away screaming. As Gray looked back at Erza and Lucy he growled and then looked up at Gajeel now being drooped to the ground he grits his teeth and takes his stance. "levy... Take Gajeel and run like hell. I'll do my best to slow them down for you so just hurry and get the hell out of here." as he stares up at the dragon the Black markings on his arms form and he shouts. "Ice demon slayer secret art: Tundra!" As he slams his hands into the ground ice began to quickly ensnare the dragons as well as the man above the larger ones head. Levy quickly ran to Gajeel's side and began to carry the large man with her as she ran as best she could. Escaping back to Lucy side with the unconscious man. Gray gave a small smirk as he dropped to his knees and begins to breath heavily, using most of his magic power just to encase them in Ice. Gray's smirk is quickly replaced with a look of anger and fear, The ice began to crack and fall off as each dragon stepped out of their once frozen chrysalis. "Damn... I thought that would at least put a dent in their giant as- AHHH!" Before he can even finish speaking one of the blue dragons as reached out their tails and slammed into him and completely knocked him away into a large building, leaving it to crumble down on top of him and a screaming Juvia chasing his unconscious body. After the smoke cleared the only people left on the battle field were two unconscious members and two scared girls, one crying her eyes out into the larger man's chest. As the dragons move in on the small group the larger dragon raised its foot over them, as if to stomp on them. As Erza finally forced her tear ridden eyes open she cant help but mutter, "Natsu... save us... please." As the foot begins to speed towards them they all brace for impact but when it never hits they open their eyes and their faces light up with a new happiness. "Master!" In response the older man only grunts and starts to grow flipping the dragon on his back, the masked man jumping off and slamming a kick into the masters cheek, sending him into the ground, almost crushing the running Natsu. When the man landed on the ground he started to walk towards Erza. "Erza, it's simple. just come with me and I'll stop this." His voice comes out almost triumphant. Erza forced herself to stand and with tears in her eyes she chokes out, to weak to even fight back she gives in. "Y-you'll leave my family alone... I'll go with yo...", As she tries to choke the words a fist slams into the mans mask sending him sliding across the ground, a panting and angry Natsu stands there with his fist still out and bleeding from the contact, "Erza you shut the hell up. Your staying right here with us! I'll kick this guys ass even without my magic if it keeps you here! Hey Gramps can you handle the dragon? And Gajeel... i know you can hear me can you take the blue ones with Gray?" As Natsu spoke his stare never left the man in the mask but heard Gajeel and the Masters grunts in response. "Yea who the hell said you could boss me around ash breath?" Gray growled out, but seeming rather happy to see his rival and friend. Natsu's only response was his childish giggle. 

Natsu's POV:

I growled as I saw the crack run down the mans mask. "So you ready to go yet you bastard?" I growl with a smirk but I'm quickly shut up buy a punch to the cheek.The force sending me tumbling back until i can regain my footing an I rush him, throwing hard punches at him but missing each time. With each punch I let out a growl until I felt his foot in my gut, sending me sliding away and clutching my stomach, coughing and dropping to my knees. "Just give it up. Titana is mine." As i hear him say that i laugh and jumps up rushing him again this time clipping his mash, leaving cracks all over it. As I finally stop and back away panting I smirk. "You can have Erza when you kick my ass!" As he hears me he lets out a grunt as reaches for a sword at hip and rushes me. I desperately try and move to get away but cant, as i see the blade stab into my stomach I hold the area around the wound. "Your outclassed boy. You had no chance. I didn't even need my magic to kill you." As I cough up blood he kicks me away and off his blade, as i fall back i can see him walking towards me. When he raises his blade all I can do is close my eyes and think, "I'm sorry Erza, Gray, even Gajeel... and Lucy. I cant win this time." As i hear the blade pierce skin, i tense up but... it doesn't hurt. As i slowly open my eyes i look up and see her. "LUCY!" The man growled and kicked her off and into me. As my eyes fill with tears i hold her. "Lucy what are you thinking... you cant... no... no!" as I feel her hand on my cheek my eyes widen and I see her warm and kind smile, "Natsu I'd give my life up and over again... just promise me... you'll protect our family, our fairy tail..." as i hear her voice trail i feel her hand leave my face and drop lifelessly to her side. "No Lucy... you can't. I just got you back..." 

The masked man broke out into a fit of laughter as he watched us. "What a fool, Jumping in to protect that worthless man!", "I'll kill you..." My voice comes out cold and lifeless as i look down at Lucy and cries. "I'LL KILL YOU FOR TAKING MY LUCY!!!!" The sky darkens as i let out a pained scream, a tunnel of flames erupt from around us, shooting into the sky. As i cry i can feel horns growing from my head, as well as black marks being burned onto my arms. "Lucy was an angel... and she gave everything to protect a demon like me..." I lay her down as i kiss her lips gently, black flames circling around the wound. Slowly sealing it shut as new skin grows. When i hear his laugh again i growl and rushes him, my hand exploding through his back and picking him up in the air. "No one touches my family. I'll destroy you and anyone else who attacks my family."

(I'm sorry everyone that it took a while to post i've gone through some depression lately and this might seemed rushed and a crappy ending but it sets up the next chapter. and thanks everyone that's read my story i love chu guys!
