Chapter 1: I love her?

As Natsu and Happy made there way in the guild they felt the thick tension building in the guild hall. He looked around at the mass of people avoiding his curious and uneasy eyes. He finally takes his seat at the bar as he flashes his caring and happy smile at Mira. "Hey Mira can you get me and happy some breakfast please, Lucy will cover it." He laughed softly only now noticing the absence of his blond best friend. As Mira brings the large plate over with her, her always happy eyes are dark and saddened. Natsu looks around as Happy finally asks the dreaded question. "Hey Mira... Where's Lucy?" Mira seemed to jump as Natsu chimed in. "Yeah she wasn't in her room so we thought she came early this mornin." He talks with his food mashed into his mouth.

Mira looks at him them to the master of the guild, master Markrov. He nods his head slowly before continuing to drink from the mug in his hand. Mira finally speaks, her voice is so soft that the cracking in it brings her older brother to the brink of tears. "Natsu, Lucy was.... taken from us."  Natsu face turns from a happy smile to a despaired and almost frantic laugh. "Come on Mira that's not funny, where is she. Are you guys playing a trick on me since I messed up on my last mission? This isn't funny please just bring her back or tell me where she is." His voice is panicked and fear ridden. Mira starts to cry and sob at hearing Natsus words.

Gray puts his hand on Natsu's shoulder, shaking his head he speaks. "Natsu we couldn't stop them... They were to strong and they took her." Natsu eyes filled with tears as he throws a hard punch, sending Gray stumbling back. Natsu takes the opportunity to pin him to the wall, holding his shirt's collar tightly in his grasp. Natsu lets out an enraged yell at Gray. "So your telling me you watched them take her!"

Gray pushed Natsu back and yells in response. "Damn it! We did everything we could!" Natsu growls at his word and throws another punch only to have it caught. Natsus eyes water heavily as he thinks of his 'Lucy' being taken away. "if you did everything you could then why are you alive? I would've died before I let her go!" He snaps, his voice sharp. He starts his flames only to have Gray take his stance in response.

Markrov raises his voice, trying to prevent the impending dual between the raging flames and cold sad ice. "Natsu your able to say that because Lucy means more to you then just a friend, not saying we wouldn't all die for each other but... Natsu love is a powerful thing that will cause you to give up your life for the person that holds your heart." Natsu just growls in response as he makes his way towards the doors of the guild. As he walks out he looks back at everyone inside, he fights back the urge to cry and let out the words welling up in his throat. "Happy we're going to find her, let's go!" The small bundle of blue does as he's told. He lays his crying form on Natsu head as they start walking. As Natsus mind travels to the masters words he thinks. "Maybe I do... Love her." He wipes his eyes before yelling out as he starts running. "Lucy I'm coming for ya!!"
