When The Secrets Unfold

Chapter 5: Alone

Maya's POV
As Riley blurts out my secret I stop mid tracks. I look at my sister, my friends and Eldon...

I run out embarrassed and go straight into the musicroom. I sit there crying that Riley would of told everyone my secret. But I'm most scared about What Eldons going to say. What if he hates me? What if he never wants to see Skye?

I decide to get and dance to my turn. I dance to this song as since I've had Skye I've never had attention. Having a child changes your life.

As I finish dancing I see Eldon walking in.
" Why can't my life be simple?!" he exclaims.
I walk out from the shadows.

" You think your life is not simple?! You haven't had to give birth to a child and raise her! You haven't been bullied for being pregnant! You haven't been rejected by 5 boys because you have a child!" I shout and run outside.

I text my mum to bring Skye to the studio. I sit outside tapping my feet waiting nervously. Skye comes running over to me and I hug her tight. " Mumma!" Skye yells and I cry into her.
" Baby!" I cradle her in my arms.
" Mum everyone knows..." I say.
" Maya are you okay?" My mum asks.
" I just need some time with Skye," I reply and my mum leaves. I'm glad my mum understands.

" When daddy back?" Skye asks.
" I don't know Skye," I say and she holds my hand. We walk to the park and she plays, I end up running and playing with her. She falls over but I pick her up and she giggles. Skye is such a sweet girl.
" Mumma catch me!" Skye screams while she climbs up the play equipment. I forget all the drama and just have fun with Skye until I see Riley, James, Emily and Eldon walking across the park.

" Mumma I'm coming!" Skye says and I watch her come down the slide.
I try to ignore them all but they seem to have noticed me.
" Good job Skye!" I exclaim before she runs off again.
This time she runs off to the gate.
" No Skye this way," I say before running, picking her up and tiggling her.

At this moment in time Riley, James, Emily and Eldon are walking straight past here. I see Eldon looking closely at Skye.
" Mumma!" Skye yells as she runs to me. I glance over at my friends before they all look away.
" Skye you did a great job with all that climbing and running!" I say and before you know it she's asleep in my arms. Typical 2 year old. 

I walk back home and don't talk to Michelle for the rest of the day. I couldn't tell her though. Now I'm all alone...
