Chapter 9: Daddy?

Mayas pov:
I decide to send Eldon a text.
Hi Eldon if you want to meet your daughter please come to the musicroom at 1pm
I never get a reply but go to the musicroom with Skye anyway.
" Mummy you dance here?" Skye asks.
" Yeah Skye do you want to dance when your a big girl?"
" Uh huh!" She exclaims. I make a mental note: get dance lessons for Skye.
I quickly glance at my phone while Skye plays with my hair. It's 1:15 but I decide to wait a bit longer.

Suddenly Eldon comes rushing in.
" Sorry I'm late I had stuff to do," Eldon says.
" It's okay," I say before Skye interrupts me.
" Mumma who's this?"
" Skye this is your daddy," I say whilst looking at her and Eldon. Skye looks confused and looks up at Eldon before slowly walking towards him.
" Daddy?" Skye asks.
" Hi Skye," Eldon says nervously.
Skye runs to him and hugs his leg. Eldon looks at me as if to ask ' can I pick her up' I nod and watch him pick her up and spin her around.
" Daddy!" Skye exclaims and I smile.
" Daddy why did you leave mummy?" Skye asks curiously and Eldon shoots a look over at me.
" Skye remember I had to move back to where we used to live and daddy Was very busy," I say and Eldon sighs.
" Skye I'm sorry," Eldon says.
"now you can be with mummy!" Skye exclaims and I look down.
Skye squirms out of Eldons hands and runs over to me. She starts giggling.
" Skye what are you giggling for?" I ask as I tiggle her. She laughs really loud and I smile at her.
" Well I better go," Eldon says.
" No daddy stay!" Skye screams.
I can tell this is going to end in a tantrum.
" Okay well just for a while," Eldon says before sitting down with me. Skye my lap and snuggles into me. I fiddle with her hair gently.

" Maya thanks for letting me meet Skye," Eldon says breaking the silence.
" Well she is your daughter and I'm so sorry I didn't tell you," I blurt out.
" It's okay Maya I was really angry at first but I get it," Eldon says.
" Yeah and her full name is Skye Mackenzie Lupien," I say.

That's beautiful I always liked the name Skye," Eldon replies.
" Thanks and would you like to see her often?" I look down at Skye who's peacefully sleeping.
" Yeah I'd love to if that's okay," Eldon says.
" Yeah sure,"
We sit in silence for a while longer before Eldon blurts out.
" You and Skye have such a strong relationship. I wish I was around and I could be that close,"
" You always could be Eldon," I say before looking down once again.
Eldons hand gently lifts my chin up and he whispers into my ear: Thankyou Maya. Before kissing me.

I can't belive he just kissed me. After everything! I'm happy but also sad, what about Emily and my sister...
