~ Chapter Four ~

Angela's POV

Lord Aphmau and I discussed for what seemed for hours.I could feel the tension and worry that was forming outside of her home while I was talking to her.At one point in the conversation she silenvce lasted for a minute or two.Lady Aphmau still remained smiling,physically she was tthere,but she seemed to not be there mentally,or rather lost in thought."Well,what do you plan on doing here,Angela?"Aphmau finally spoke,staring at me for a few moments before she glanced over at the front doors of her home,that remained closed,though it was obvious that someone wanted the doors to be opened.

"Well,I planned on being a guard in my old village,so if possible,could I be a guard for you LAdy Aphmau?"I spoke softly.A week or so before my home burned to ashes,I had jst arrived home from guard training."Of course,though you would be Garroth's aprentice for a little while and I'm sure he'll design a set of armor for you and then we will have it made.Sound like a plan?"she spoke softly with kind eyes.I nodded."I suppose we should tell the guys,since more than likely they are loosing their minds outside."She continued,standing up,I doing the same thing as I stepped over to the front doors,opening them both.I swallowed hard as I stared at Dante,Garroth,and Laurence,who were standing a foot away from Aphmau and myself.

Garroth's faced me for a few moments before he looked at Aphmau.She then spoke softly."Garroth,would you be willing to take Angela on as an apprentice?She had just left guard training before..she was found here."She paused for a moment while she spoke,not wanting to share my horrid story.Garroth stared at Aphmau for what seemed to be forever,before he then nodded."Of course,Lord Aphmau.Angela,your training begins tommorrow morning.Meet me at the beach."His gaze shifting back to me,I instantly nodding before I bowed my head at Aphmau."Thank you,for allowing me to stay in your village."I spoke softly,Aphmau smiling brightly in reply."Don't mention it,make yourslef at home here."She replied.

I felt her eyes on me while I stepped down the long staircase,my eyes widening as I noticed a blur of red hair rushing towards me.Now suddenly standing in front of me was a female,with red hair,in a well made dress."Are you the new girl?You must be!I'm Cadenza!Anyhow,I wanted to see if it would be ok if I made you some new clothes!"She spoke in a energized and happy tone.Nodding my head,I smiled lightly,Cadenza then hugging me tightly,before she spoke a gentle 'Thank you' before she said a simple goodbye,hurrying off back towards Lady Aphmau's home.Today had been a blurr.In the matter of 2 days or so,my life had changed completely.Stepping inside of the farmhouse,I stretched slightly before laying on the bed.

I don't remeber falling asleep.All I do remeber is opening my eyes again to find myself floating in darkness,a gentle lullaby playing as I felt sudden warmth onn my bck.The darkness below me was now made of blue and red flames.Screams were a faint background behind the gentle tune.Someone called out my name.Laughter suddenly boomed from every direction.Like a puppet being dropped on the floor,I was fell suddenly into the flames,that began to eat me away,a sudden voice saying "You have no where to hide,my little puppet.".
