They have been walking on the island for at least an hour. No monsters or animals to face yet. It was late at night one night and Emma woke up to the sound of children crying. She tried to wake the others up but they refused to get up, so Emma left the camp in search of the source of the sounds she heard.

"I wonder why they can't hear the crying." A teenage boy said.

"How come I can hear it?" Emma asked him.

"You are a lost child aren't you?"

"What do you mean? I grew up with parents who love me."

"That may be but I know that you aren't always accepted."

Deep down Emma knew he was right. Even in a palace full of people and with parents who love her, she often felt alone. "You know nothing about me, so who are you to judge me?"

"It's alright Emma." The fact that he knew her name, made her slam him up against a tree and put a dagger against his throat. "You have fire, I like fire. Did I forget to introduce myself? I'm Peter, Peter Pan."

"How do you know my name?" Emma asked.

"This is my island. I know when someone enters, when someone leaves, and most importantly, I know who people are and why they came."

"So you know why we are here then?"

"Of course I do. Hook was planning to come here so he wouldn't die of a broken heart, and you got swept up with him."

"What do you want?" Emma asked.

"Well I only want to be released." Pan said.

Emma backed off of him and he stood there. Not moving an inch and not saying a word.

"Enjoy the island, and watch out for dreamshade." He finally said before disappearing.

Emma walked back to the camp to find it exactly how she left it, except Hook was gone. Suddenly she was tackled and forced to the ground.

"Swan? Where the bloody hell did you go?" Hook asked.

"For a walk, now if you don't mind getting off of me." Emma said.

Hook nodded and got off of her and helped her up. She brushed off her cloak and went back to her makeshift bed. She laid down trying to sleep, but her mind kept darting back and forth between thoughts. First it was Hook, then it was Pan, then her parents, then Jacob, then finally herself. She sat up and saw Hook fast asleep with his back towards her. She didn't know how she felt about him, other than the fact that she had a little crush on him, but he probably didn't feel the same way. He was a pirate who made his rounds. In the morning, Emma woke up before the others so she decided to practice her magic. Hook was the only one who knew about it, but if the others saw it they would get scared. She started moving things around, but when one of the crew members stirred in his sleep, she immediately stopped and made things quiet again. By now the fire was almost out, so she took it upon herself to get more wood. Once she returned the entire crew was up, including Hook.

"Ah thank you Emma, but we will be continuing our trek through the forest now." Hook said.

"Right." Emma said and threw the wood back into the forest. "What are we looking for?"

"A way out. Nobody leaves Neverland without Pan's permission, but hopefully we can break that tradition."

They began a slow walk through the forest. Nobody said a word, and the tension in the air was unbearable. After a few hours of walking, they all sat down and made camp. Everyone needed their energy in case Pan or the Lost Boys decided to make their presence known. Soon everyone was asleep except for Hook and Emma. She was drawing circles on her hands with her fingers, and he was watching her every move. He got up and walked over to her and sat next to her. She didn't look up at him or watch him like he did to her.

"If you look at me any harder you will bore a hole into my head." Emma said.

Hook laughed, he sure did miss her. "What's so funny?" Emma asked with seriousness in her question.

"Oh nothing. Just you that's all." He said.

Emma blushed. It happened every time he did complimented her. She turned her head hoping that he wouldn't notice, but he did.

"I am going to get more firewood. I'll be right back." Hook said. "Would you like to give me a hand love?" He held his hand out for her to take it.

She accepted and stood up. "Is that supposed to be funny?"

Hook didn't answer. He just went into the forest and Emma went with him. They were walking until he grabbed her arm and pulled her back, unintentionally she wrapped her arms around him giving him a hug. "Its about bloody time."

Emma rolled her eyes. "Would you like to tell me why you did that?"

"You almost walked into a dreamshade plant. Most deadliest plant on the island."

"That's what he meant by dreamshade." Emma said.

"What? " Hook asked.

"Pan, he payed me a visit. He said that I should enjoy the island and watch out for it."

"He didn't hurt you did he?"

"No."

Hook nodded and they continued to look for firewood. Once they reached the campsite, Hook placed the wood onto the ashes and tried to light the it, but was failing miserably.

"Here I got it, step back." Emma said.

Hook did as he was told and Emma shut her eyes. At first nothing happened, but then the wood caught fire. Hook smiled at Emma and she just looked confused.

"Why do you look confused love?" He asked.

"Nobody really smiles at me when I do anything good with my magic. They only step back and cower with fear." Emma said.

"I don't see why they would do such a thing. Your powers make you special."

"If you watched me grow up with them I am positive you would say otherwise."

"Well putting that aside, I do believe I saved your life."

"Okay and what do you want, a kiss?"

"It certainly wouldn't hurt." Hook said biting his lip.

Emma sighed and pulled him in for a kiss. It wasn't a short one, but it wasn't too long either. When she pulled away, he was disappointed. He didn't want one of the perfect moments he shared with Emma to go away.
