Forever Doesn't Last Forever

Chapter 19

The next day at work, it was hard for Killian and Emma to remain calm around each other. After their kiss, things got more and more heated. Emma had to put her hair on one side of her neck due to the love mark he left on her. When he would walk past her, he would purposely run his hand along her back which drove her crazy. Many people came in and stayed for the day, but Graham walked in that afternoon around lunchtime also.

"What do you think he wants?" Emma asked Killian.

"I don't know maybe a drink?" Killian said.

Emma rolled her eyes and went over to Graham.

"What can I get you?" She asked.

He looked up at her. "How's the new job?"

"Fine."

"Well I wanted to ask you if you wanted your old one back."

Emma shook her head. "No I like it here."

Graham stood up and walked out. Emma shrugged her shoulders and went back to work. After her shift, she went home and made herself dinner. As she was watching tv, a knock was at the door. She opened it and found Graham on the other side.

"Am I getting arrested again?" Emma asked.

"No I'm here to offer you your job back." Graham slurred.

"I told you today that I don't want it back."

Without warning, he kissed Emma. She didn't know what happened at first, but after she did, it was too late. She opened her eyes and pushed him off. She then saw Killian behind them get into his car and drive away. A rose was thrown across her porch.

"Get the hell away. Now!" Emma yelled.

Graham obeyed and left. She hurriedly shut everything off in her house, and grabbed her keys and drove to Killian's house. She knocked on the door but there was no answer at first. His car was parked in front of his house so unless he walked somewhere, she knew he was home.

"Killian please open the door." Emma pleaded.

"What you saw isn't what you think happened."

"Let me explain."

Every time she talked she got nothing but silence on the other side.

"Killian please." She fell to the ground outside of the door. "Let me explain."

He stumbled to the door and opened it. She stood up and looked him in the eye.

"You have two minutes." He said.

"Graham came over and told me that I could have my job back, but I didn't take it. I like working with you at the bar. When I refused, he kissed me. I pushed him off and I watched you leave. I don't like Graham like that. I never did." Emma explained. Killian was silent for the longest time, and she was losing hope. "I'll see you tomorrow at work." Emma eventually said and began walking away. She got into her car, but before she started it, Killian got in.

"I believe you." He brought her into a kiss. "I'm sorry."

"Please don't be. It's my fault." Emma said.

"No it's his fault."

She kissed him again. "So I have to work tomorrow, so I think I should get going."

"Right, well you could always sleep here if you want." He raised his eyebrows and she smiled.

"Depends. Do you want my company?"

"I always want your company love."

The next day, Killian didn't have to go to work, but Emma did. He didn't like sending his girlfriend to work without him, but she went anyway. He went around town looking in the shops. When he came across Mr. Golds Pawn Shop, he went in. He always liked to look at the things he had. Killian looked over at one of the shelves and saw a beautiful sword bracelet.

"Lovely bracelet isn't it?" Mr. Gold said with a smile.

"Yea, I have a feeling that I have seen this before." Killian said.

"Would you like to buy it?"

Killian picked up the box that held the bracelet and took it over to the counter. "How much?"

"Consider this a gift. I will get something much better than money with you buying this. Would you like it wrapped?"

"No, uh thank you."

Killian picked up the box and went home. As he sat on the couch, he took it out of the box. A flash of pictures went across in front of him. When it all stopped, he looked down at his left hand that was still there.

"I remember."

He ran to the bar, but forgot the bracelet. He walked in and pulled Emma aside.

"Swan, I remember." He said.

"Remember what?" She asked confused.

"Everything. What David said is true. We are from the Enchanted Forest and I am a pirate and you are a princess. We fell in love and sailed around the world together."

Emma backed up a little bit. "Killian that's crazy. I agreed to David because he just got out of a coma, but we are in the real world. Prince Charming and Snow White and pirates are apart of fairy tales."

"Emma please, listen to me. It's true. It's all true."

"I have a shift to finish Killian. When I get off we can talk more." She pushed open the door and went back to work.

Killian went and talked to David. David still didn't know that Blake was a fake name that disguised Captain Hook. After talking to him, he went to pick Emma up from her shift. He brought her in and gave her the box.

She opened it and her jaw dropped. "Killian it's beautiful!"

"Then I guess I don't have to ask if you like it. Look I'm sorry about the fairytale thing today. When your ready you will remember."

She nodded and slipped the bracelet on. After it was around her wrist, she kissed Killian. A flash of moving pictures flashed in front of her eyes. She broke the kiss and a gust of wind spread across the town.

"I-I remember!" She looked down at her wrist. "The bracelet! I thought it was in Neverland!"

"I don't know but you have it back."

"We have us back." She hugged him. "I should go see my parents."

He nodded and she left. On the way there, she stopped to see Rumplestiltskin. She learned that in a week, everyone would be sent back to the Enchanted Forest.
