RECAP: From the corner of my eye I caught a pair of eyes starring at me. I didn't see the person's face clearly until I turned a bit more. I was surprised as my eyes locked with bright blue ones, Luke's.

Chapter 10: Bright Blue Lagoon

I quickly turned away with a slight blush as I realized that I was starring. But Luke didn't seem to mind; it was almost like he wanted me to continue starring at him, as if I had to look his way.

As I turned away I thought about why he might have been looking my way. I never really paid much attention to him. He was always kind of THAT kid that you just walk by in the hallways and give a halfhearted wave to. Luke has always been Claire and Becca's friend.

They all met each other a few years ago in summer camp. Becca never really wanted to go but Claire asked her, and none of us can deny Claire. After camp they lost touch for a while, but last year started to hang out again.

I shrugged it off as him just starring at Claire or Becca and decided to quickly finish my ham sandwich before we got dismissed to go home. Terrible scheduling, but hey! What can you do?

I walked fast speed towards my locker that held my backpack and jacket. These were the days that I wished that my locker wasn't in a deserted hallway that practically no one ever used anymore. My need to get home and on my way to the Cullen's was now becoming a necessity, and the people in the crowded hallways were not helpful.

My speed walking turned into a light jog as I turned a corner towards my destination. But before I could take a few more steps to my locker I came into contact with someone. The way that I knew it was not a girl was because not most girls had rock hard chest.

Strong arms grabbed me around the waist before I had the chance to fall to the polished floor.

I had to blink a few times before looking up into the same bright blue eyes. They starred back at me, just like they had before in the cafeteria. A teasing ere of mixed emotions, that for some reason I could not quite decipher.

The longer I starred into them the more and more confused I got. But I wasn't sure what kind of confused it was that I was referring to. As our eyes locked, my mind ran into overdrive. I could feel myself melting as I sunk further and further into the welcoming bright blue lagoon.

It must have been minutes later that he tore his warm gaze away from my own. Looking down in embarrassment as a bright pink blush spread, as quickly as a wild fire. I realized that his arms were still securely wrapped around my petit waist, and for a split second I didn't want him to let go.

I weird sounding gasp came out of my lips as I stumbled back a little and out of his grasp. I shook my head fiercely, trying to erase the thoughts that had just occupied my mind.

"Are you all right?" his soft, almost velvet like voice floated to my ears. My head snapped up at the sound of his voice. If I weren't aware that I wasn't in my other world right now, I would have accused him of being Jasper.

I shook my head again this time to hard, giving me a head rush.

Luke, thinking that I was saying I was not okay furrowed his eyebrows together in a worried gesture. "Do you want me to call the nurse?" he asked, his eyes once again finding mine

"No." I answered quietly and took another step back words, "I'm okay. But I'd better go. Thanks for, um helping me." I mumbled the last part and turned towards my locker to grab my things

Luke was so quite while I collected my things that at first I thought that he had left. I let out a sigh of relief but almost screamed as I turned back around to face him yet again.

I could tell that he was stifling a laugh as he watched my face with amusement, "Do you need a ride?" he asked politely, finally getting his act back together

I raised an eyebrow at him curiously. If he was a sophomore wasn't he just getting his permit? But looking him over once again, I realized that he didn't look sophomore material in fact, he could probably pass as a freshman in college.

He smirked at me yet again, and answered my unasked question. "I'm a senior. The reason why I was at lunch today was because I was showing a new sophomore around."

That was why I had never seen him at lunch before or in any classes before. Wow, Jess!

"Um no thanks, I live just up the street so I should be good. Thanks though." I answered him before slamming my locker closed and walking the opposite direction.

I knew that what I just did was rude. I mean after all he was just trying to be nice. But over the years that I have been doing what I do, I have come to the conclusion of never get too close to people.

As I walked into my house, and towards my cozy promising room like expected, on the door to my bedroom was a note from my mom.

-Working late tonight.

Here is ten bucks for pizza.

Love,

Mom

I rolled my eyes, whatever. I will be skipping dinner anyway. As soon as the thought crossed my mind I raced into my room with a huge grin spread across my face. I swung the door open with great force, knocking it against my wall.

My eyes scanned around the familiar room that was placed in front of me. My walls were still painted a pale pink and the same white carpet was on the floor. The same pleated purple comforter lay on top of my bed, just waiting for me to cuddle into.

On my walls were multiple posters; puppy posters, random quotes that I liked, famous authors, but mostly twilight ones. I once counted twelve twilight related things hanging on my walls. I guess that may seem weird, considering I see the ACTUAL Cullen's and the ACTUAL Wolf pack practically everyday. But to me it creates an atmosphere of, protection and warmth.

As I said the two words in my mind, my eyes located the picture of my dad and me that was placed on the nightstand by my bed. I smiled a warm smile to him before walking over to my closet and scooping out a pair of skinny jeans and a warm sweatshirt. Finally pulling on my 'team Cullen' sweatshirt I found that I was ready to go.

Walking over to my backpack and pulling out my phone, I set my alarm to 10 P.M. that was usually when mom got home. But it gave me about ten hours in their time.

Finally getting the chance to close my eyes I quickly found myself drifting into the other world that I was no longer seen as a random, but who I really am.
