JESSICA'S POV:

The day went by quickly and as I turned to walk out of the school, I had to wipe away a few stray tears as I realized that my dad wouldn't be waiting outside for me in the car. I kept on walking, looking down at the ground, I jumped when I felt a hand tug me away from my path.

"Jessica," I heard a deep voice say only a few feet away from me. I felt their hot breath against my neck, causing involentary goosebumps to form along my arms. I finally allowed myself to take a quick glance  at who it was, and almost jumped out of my skin when his hypnotizing blue eyes starred back at me. I took an awkward step to the side, quickly darting my eyes away from his own curious ones.

"What can I help you with Luke?" I asked quietly, starring at the ground as if it was the most fascinating thing on the planet. I scolded myself for not being as confident in real life as I was in my dream.

From the corner of my eye I could see a smile form on his lips. He starred down at me with so much wonder and interest that I thought he had confused me with his favorite television show. The joke made me crack up and earned me a strange look from Luke, but he quickly recovered it to one of calmness.

"I was just wondering if maybe you wanted to grab a bite to eat? You know cause its Friday and all." He trailed off with an expression of frustration and annoyance.

I cocked my head to the side, a little bit tacken back by his offer. I looked to my left to see that it was raining heavily right now and I had to walk home. "Great." I groaned, still starring out the window.

"That doesn't sound like a very enthusiastic  yes." He chuckled to himself and raised an eyebrow at me.

I laughed quietly to myself, " I was talking about the rain. I have to walk home." I explained to him with a frown. I suppose I brought it on myself when he offered to give me a ride home. I hesitated for a minute, but already knew what I wanted to say even before I thought about it.

"That would be great, thanks!" I smiled up at him, soaking in the beautiful color of his eyes. It had never really took the time to talk to Luke before but now that I was I realized that he really was a great guy.

We walked to his car in silence with neither of us really knowing what to say. As we walked I glanced at him. Luke wore a faded lue jeans that looked as if they held years of memories with in them. His jacket was a leather black one that also seemed to have much history with him. His hair was disheveled in a way that reminded me a lot of Edward, and his eyes always seemed the same each time I looked into them, mesmorizing.

When Luke noticed me starring he smirked at me with an obnoxioualy cute twinkle in his eyes. "What?" His voice was deep in a way that seemed to take to my soul. Each word that he spoke felt as if he was speaking directly to my heart.

I stopped in my tracks when I felt a call come to me from a voice that I normally don't hear call me. Her voice was a soft, velvet and terrified. The thought that she could be in the possibility off danger caused me to release a snarl. I felt pressure on my left arm but I shook it off effortlessly. All that I knew was that I needed to get back to them as soon as I possibly could.

I was brought out of my trance by two strong arms shaking my shoulders desperatly. I looked up to see a look plastered on his face that I had only seen worn by my father. Was that a look of worry? Of protection? The thought that someone other than my dad could really care about me frightened me greatly and I ripped myself away from his tight hold on me.

"I have to go." Were the only words that I spoke to him before running off, out of the doors, and towards my house. I looked back to see Luke standing there frozen in place, starring at me as I ran away from him. I wanted to run back andd tell him that I was sorry and that I would explain everything another time, but my feet just kept me moving forward.

I didn't have much time to run into my room before my frustraton and rage just took me straight into Forks. That was the first time that I traveled there without the need to concentrate beforehand. As I swirled down towards the ground, my leg twisting to the side as I hit the hard ground.

"Ow!" I screeched so loudly that I had probably been heard all the way in Antarctica. I didn't know what had come over me as I started to hit tree after tree and slowly I was standing in front of a barren field.

I heard quick footsteps heading towards me and before I had the chance to think, I was enveloped in a hug and allowed to cry into a shoulder for the first time in such a long time. I didn't care that, that shoulder was one of someone from a totally different world that. All I cared about was the fact that someone cared about me.

It seemded like a millenium had gone by when I finally pulled away from my third home. I knew that it was him the minute that his scent had surrounded me. I looked up at him with a grateful smile on my face.

"You're the best Seth." I murmered to him, and fell back into his warm and welcoming arms. Right then and there I felt the safest that I had in a long time.
