Jane's POV
Hayes called me that he just came out football practice and I told him everything that I'm back and home and stuff. He then said that he had to hang up to shower and eat dinner and he'll call me if he can. Once he hung up I started worrying. Last time we were at school, Hayes and his friends hated me and my friends and I hated him. I just don't know how'll his friends will react to be honest. I decide to just forget about it and go downstairs to see what my mom is up to.
I go downstairs and see my mom...with Michael. There's something I don't like about him. They were making out nearly close to having it. "Ahem" I clear my throat. They quickly break apart and look embarrassed. "So when's the wedding?" I ask. "Two weeks." Michael says. "Wow. That's close." I said. "I know. Jane I want you to be my bridesmaid. You're brother is Michael's best man." My mom said. "Sure I'll be a bridesmaid." I said. "I'll leave you two now, but do me a favor get a room." I told them while going upstairs.
I go to Jake's room. "Jake." I said "yeah." He answers. "I saw dad when I was in California." I said. He then froze. "Really?!" He says happily. "Yes really. He had surgery there." I told him. "I should've stayed when I went to Cali." He said. "Now leave we have school tomorrow and I don't wanna get an F because of you." He added. I left his room and went into mine and just sat there thinking about my life. Or life in general. Why we die? Why do we have to go through so much pain? Why are there so many bad people in this world? Why.
I decided to go sleep cause I wanted to wake up early tomorrow and also to have time to pick an outfit.
