Chapter 32

After School
I was at Starbucks with Josh (boy in my home ec) and we just hung out and stuff. The problem about him was that he was too serious. Too mature. I know you should be mature when you're older. But I just think that's dumb. "So how's school?" He asked. "Um, it's good. I guess." I was honestly very bored. "I need to use the men's room. I'll be back." He said. This was my chance. I quickly got a sticky note and wrote my mom needs me at my house. Sorry -jane I sticked the sticky note to the table and left out the door. As I left I saw a whole group of people surrounding someone. I tried looking but I regretted it. "Will you go to the Spring Fling with me? Or nah?" He asked her. She said yes and smash her lips on his disgustingly.

I ran all the way to my house. Once I was there, I slammed the door and my mother came up to me worriedly.
"Oh sweetie! What's wrong?" She asked.
"He made a decision mom. He chose her." I said crying.

My mother hugged me and told me to go upstairs. I'm going to the dance now. Not because he's there, because my friends are. I grabbed my purse and grabbed my moms car keys. I left out the door and turned on the car. Before I left, I called Addie and Ally if they wanted to come to the mall and go dress shopping for the dance. They both said yes and asked if I could pick them up. I obviously said yes. I left my driveway and drove to Addie's house.

I arrived at her house and honked for her to come out. "Hey gurlll." She said. "Wassup." I responded. "What made you want to go dress shopping?" She said. "We'll both of you were going to the dance and I just wanted to go because why not?" I said. "You're such a bad liar! Let me guess, you're because Hayes is going." She said. "No." I lied. "Okay maybe a little. But not the main reason." I added. We picked Ally up and that's when I drove to the mall and started shopping when we got there.

We had just finished dress and shoe shopping we were walking towards a table to sit down from all the walking. "BOOO!!" I heard a manly voice yell. I turn around to find Hayes. "Holy shit Hayes don't do that." I said. Hayes was laughing hysterically. Addie and Ally kept on walking. "So I see you bought a dress." He said looking at my bag. "Indeed I did." I said. "So, how are you?" He asked. "I'm....well. I guess you can say." I said. "Show me the dress." He said. "Um-what?" I asked. "May I see your dress?" He asked. "Nope." I said finishing with a smile. He smiled back. God dammit Hayes. "Why not I'm your best friend." He said. "Who said you're my best friend?" I said. "I did." He responded. "Well, I'm not." I calmly said. Hayes acted hurt. "Oh no my heart is hurting." He acted. "Oh no his heart hurts!" I said. "I think I need a kiss and I'll feel better." He putting his cheek out. "A kiss from Stacey you mean?" I said. "Right, yeah." He responded. We stood there with an awkward silence.

I was home already. I was fucking tired to be honest. I grabbed my computer and put on Netflix. I put an episode of Pretty Little Liars still trying to catch up to the episodes even though I already knew who A was thanks to social media and spoilers in this world.

Slowly, it was getting late. I was getting tired so I turned my computer off and charged it and drifted to sleep.
