'Hi?'

'Hello...Who are you?'

'Yo, whats up?'

Ashley had rewritten several responses to the note that she found in her box of hair dye, but didn't really know how to respond.

How does one even respond to a note that a stranger sent via boxed hair dye?

Ashley had also contemplated not responding at all.

That idea only lasted about ten minutes, however. Her curiosity always got the best of her.

"Curiosity killed the cat" was the metaphor for Ashley's life.

She had gotten hurt so many times before because she let her curiosity get the best of her.

Also on top of that, she was bored. Curiosity and boredom made her jump at any source of entertainment that would present itself.

So Ashley proceeded to wonder about the note, and who the stranger could possibly be.

She had conjured up a few theories of who it could be.

1) The assistant manager, Luke, who always stared at her ass when she walked by him.

2) Michael Clifford, the dude who liked to talk about hair dye and video games whenever she came in the store.

Ashley could actually see her self being friends with that dude so if it was Michael she wouldn't mind, but she would have to let him down easy.

And 3) Jersey, the cashier.

Out of the three, she honestly believed that Jersey was the least likely to send her the note. Not that she would mind at all really.
It was just that Jersey never actually paid any attention to her. She never even made eye contact with Ashley. Why would Jersey even bother?

So for now, as far as a response would go, she would keep it simple and play the game.

'To the stranger with the note: Hi, how are you?'
