Scoffing and eye rolling was second nature to Ashley so she couldn't help the actions that followed the newly identified stranger's "hi".
Mostly because Hi seemed to be her way of trying to avoid what clearly wasn't right.
Ashley wanted to say "you stopped texting me out of nowhere and all you can say is hi, I shouldn't even be sitting here trying to get an explanation."
But when Ashley looked up and caught Jersey's sad eyes something in her couldn't quite be mad at her for saying hi.
"Hey" Ashley replied. They sat in silence
"Are we gonna talk about why we're here?" Ashley said with slight irritation in her voice.
"Right...okay so-"
"Hi can I start you off with a drink or food if you're ready?" The waitress interrupted. Ashley looked up at her,
"Umm yeah can I get, cheese pizza and a chocolate milk thank you." The waitress smiled and went off with the order.
"Continue."
"okay so I go threw stuff...and I'm really bad at letting people see me in a bad state." Ashley looked at Jersey a guilt setting in.
Ashley had been so caught up at the fact maybe the stranger just wasn't interested in her anymore she hadn't considered an actual reason as to why this person went silent. She thought for a minute.
"You know you're not giving people or at least me enough credit, if you just would have told me, and I'm not saying tell me your life story but a simple I need to clear my head I'll talk to you in a few I would have understood."

"Yeah and I'm not saying you wouldn't have understood, from the first time we started talking I saw the kind of person that you are so I tend to try and push away all the good and Ashley you're good, I'm sorry."
Ashley rolled her eyes and smiled.
"Fine apology excepted well can I at least ask why it is you couldn't have just talked to me, why the note?"

So with that they began talking like nothing ever happened. Conversations of nothing and everything littered their time once again. In that both of them felt a familiar content feeling within them.
