The anxiety was pulsing through her veins. Her palms where clammy and she didn't exactly know if she would be able to wait much longer. The time read 6:17 she wanted to keep waiting but every time a minute passed her stomach dropped and it felt like she couldn't take anymore disappointments. So she raised her hand signaling the waitress to come over.
"I'll just order." She said to the waitress
"Alright what can I get for you?"
Jersey ordered a pepperoni with pineapple pizza and Dr.pepper.
As her drink came followed by her food. She took a bite from her pizza and started daydreaming.
The sound of a chime from the front door being opened caught her attention. Ashley walked through the doors looking around. In that Jersey felt like throwing up and running all at once. Taking a deep breath she stood up and waited for Ashley to spot her when they made aye contact Jersey waved.
Ashley turned her head to one side and looked confused. Jersey's breath got caught in her throat her mind racing with thoughts of "clearly she's disappointed". Ashley started to walk towards her, both standing directly in front of each other. Jersey gave a shy smile and sat down Ashley then sitting down as well. They sat with stares and silence.
"Hi." Jersey said with a small smile.
Ashley rolled her eyes with a scoff.
