Ashley grew frustrated and eventually just stoped texting. That however didn't diminish her curiosity.
Throughout the first week of silence she couldn't help but check her phone.
Part of her felt she should get over it.
As she put it she didn't even care but she knew that wasn't the case.
Her mind had been wondering to what ifs.
What if the stranger was hurt? What if the stranger got arrested? What if the stranger died?
For someone who told herself that she didn't care, Ashley cared a lot and part of her hoped the stranger was okay.

Stranger: Hi
Ashley had been sleeping peacefully when her phone buzzed waking her up. She noticed the stranger had sent her a message.
A part of Ashely filled with anger. The stranger stopped replying to her for almost three weeks and all this person had to say for themselves was 'Hi'.
Nope Ashley thought to herself she will not be there whenever it was convenient for someone. Even if the person did know her better than half the people she knew.
So Ashley just texted one word.
