Of course they drugged us, their just paranoid that way. After the guys with the guns tapped us up again, (roughly I might add) they stuck us with needles and we all sank into the darkness.

The next thing I knew I was in a white room with doctors standing around me. My head pounding and my body felt achy and heavy. I tried to lift my head and almost screamed with the pain of the effort. "Where am I?" I muttered.

"You're in the medical center of CSAC. We are doing a few tests and then you'll be prepped and ready for surgery. Don't worry our surgeons are skilled at this line of work." Said a kind faced women.

"I don't want the surgery, I want to stay me. Let me go." I slurred.

"Oh don't be like that dear, we're just going to make you a better you that's all. Nancy go tell the surgeons she'll be read in about ten minutes." Said a man in a white lab coat, I had a feeling that I would never like doctors again.

"Where are the others?" I was waking up a little more and I could move my head a little.

"Don't worry about them, there surgeries went perfectly. Their all expected to make a full recovery. You lot are going to be the best we have, the evolution of science is what everyone's calling you guys. You should be proud."

"Proud my ass, I want to keep my soul thank you very much!"

"That's the best part sweetheart; we have found the answer to modifying you, mind and body without actually taking away your soul, all the better to do your missions. We'll still be able to control you. But you won't be a mindless machine." He said with a wink.

This was horrible; I rather have been mindless then be fully aware of the horrible things I would have to do. I started to thrash around on the table, trying to get away, but my arms and legs were tied down. The doctor came over to me and grabbed my chin.

"Now calm down miss its fine, I promise. Now be a good little girl and-" before he could say anything I bit down of his wrist, hard. "OW!! You little wench!" He slapped me across the face making me bit my tongue, I tasted blood. The last thing I said before I was plunged into darkness (AGAIN!!) was "I'm going to get you back for that. I promise."

I dreamed that this whole thing was a dream, and I woke up to find Ray sitting on the bed side next to me. I was in my old room, with the purple walls and the posters. Ray was trying to tell me something important but I couldn't hear him it was like he was too far away.

"I'm sorry! I can't hear you, Ray Ray I'm sorry for everything!!" I tried to tell him.

I don't know if he heard me, but he looked at me sadly and then everything started to fade, my bright walls started to melt away, and Ray disappeared all together. I was floating in a gray bleak world. There were no trees or animals or people. I saw the sun but it was black. This must be hell, I thought, there is no way that this could be anything other than hell. I heard whispering but I couldn't tell what they were saying, I looked around but I didn't see anyone. The whispering got louder and louder until it was impossible to ignore it. It was like a hundred people where yelling at me at the same time, all of them telling me what to do. Until one voice, the loudest, silence all of the others. It was a familiar man's voice, but I couldn't tell from where I first heard it from. It said, no commanded, "Obey me, do as I alone say, no one else." And I felt like that's all I wanted to do, to obey this voice and make him happy. "Yes," I whispered. When I said that simple word, that simple agreement, I felt my Self slip away. I didn't belong to me anymore; I was just a puppet to be worked by the puppet master. I didn't know who I was.

I felt a tug at my hand and when I looked down I saw a little boy. He had the blackest hair and the greenest eyes. My heart told me that I should know him, but the memory of him was gone, along with my identity. I could remember nothing but this bleak and barren land. It was like a word on the tip of the tongue or an itched you cant reach.

"Alex, come home. I need you." The angel boy said to me. And with the sound of my name, everything rushed back. I remembered who I was and who this boy was. And I woke up to a room full of expectant doctors and the man, Warling. They expected me to be the Puppet Alex. Well it's time to find out if I was any good at acting.

"Stand." Warling commanded. I had the impulse to tell him to shove his attitude but that would have but a hamper on my whole 'acting' plan. I stood up slowly, my body felt different, more flexible and stronger. I could see everything in this room in detail, and I could hear the people breathing. I had the urge to look at my hands but resisted. My brain felt like it had more room in it to think. I can't wait to be alone so I can check what else they changed about me.

"Good now what is your name." I didn't know if I was suppose to know the answer so I just replied, "What do you want my name to be." He looked pleased enough, he even laughed.

"This has gone better than I ever imagined. Since we control the leader we control the team, Mr. Geoffrey please take Ms. Alex to her dorm with the others."
