As me and Kale walk into the school the next morning, we separate as always She goes to art where she meets Drew She told me things were going well with them and he even called her last night. I would know because she called me shortly after.
I stopped by my locker and grabbed my stuff before heading into 1st period class. Ty was following right behind me.
"Naomi, you left the party early. Was everything alright?" he asked, making me flinch.
"Yea, everything was fine" I smiled. He looked at me weirdly and then shook it off. He headed back to his seat. Literally the one right next to mine.
I was going to tell no one about it but now I feel like I have to tell Cody about it. I've been thinking and I don't want to stop talking to him. And if I keep talking to him, I'll spill and that's the last thing I want to do. I have to though.
I didn't even notice Cody sit down I was too busy in my thoughts.
The day went by just like another normal day and after school I went to my room just like normal. I'm not lying it's just not telling the truth. I wanna tell him when I'm alone.
I don't know when I'm going to do it. As I sat there thinking about it, the more I just wanted to call him.
Before I knew it I was, dialing his number. The phone rang four times before he picked up.
"Hello?" he asked.
"Hey" I said.
"What's up?
"I really need to talk to you"
"About what"
"Saturday"
"Why you were crying?"
"Yeah"
"What happened?"
"I can't do it over the phone. Can I come over?"
"Yeah, of course."
"Okay. Bye"
"Love you"
"Love you too, Cody"
And with that we hung up. My hands were sweaty and shaking. I got in my car and drove over to his house, passing Kales along the way.
Once I got out and walked towards his house. The door swung open before I even got to it. Cody came out and hugged me.
"You look beautiful" he told me.
I laughed and smiled.
"You just saw me today" I told him.
"You looked beautiful then too" he said, I just shook my head and followed him as he walked up to his bedroom.
When we sat down on his bed, he gave me an expectant look. I sighed.
"I didn't want to tell you this but on Saturday at Kales party, I saw my ex. I was really bored because kale had gone with Drew and Ty and Taylor weren't anywhere to be found so I went upstairs. I was in her bathroom and he just walked in.."
"Who's he?" Cody asked.
"My ex"
"What's his name?" he asked me.
"I can't tell you that" I said. He sighed, shrugging it off. He apologized as i kept going.
"..I talked to him for a couple of minutes and then I got really uncomfortable so I tried to leave. Then he kissed me and i kissed him back." I stopped for a second, not realizing I was crying thinking about it.
"You what?" Cody asked. I looked at him so truly sorry.
"I'm sorry. I just missed him so m-"
"You missed him?" Cody got off his bed.
"What am I to you? A distraction? The dude fucking took your virginity and then left you and you miss him?" he asked, raising his voice.
"I stopped!" I told him.
"You stopped? Well that's great cause that totally takes away from the fact that you fucking kissed him."
"I tried to" I barely got out. He stayed silent, staring at me.
"He wouldn't stop" I said, crying. I covered my face and started sobbing.
"I tried to stop and he wouldn't. I'm so sorry Cody I'm so sorry" I said, struggling to make my words clear.
"What did he do to you?" he asked, his voice calmer.
"He just made me do things I didn't want to do" I said, wiping away my tears.
"Like what?"
"Have sex with him" I sighed.
"Naomi that's rape" he said, angrily.
"I'm sorry. He blackmailed me" I told him.
"It's okay. Just come here" he said. I got up and walked to him. He just hugged me. My face was smushed against his chest and he just gave me a big tight huge hug.
"I'm sorry Cody. I love you. I really do love you so much."
"I love you too"
