Me and Taylor decided to go to the mall without Kale so we can get her a birthday present.
When we got there we went straight to Forever 21. They had the best clothes as it's Kales favorite store.
I found her a really cute strapless dress that was very loose. It was plain black and she is going to love it.
Once Taylor found her a present we decided to go down to the food court and have lunch. We got some chick fa la because it's a blessing.
"So how are you" Taylor asked me as we sat down.
"I've been good, how about you?" I asked her.
"I've been good too!" she said.
"How are you and Tyler?"
"We're good. He's been really nice to me lately. We haven't fought at all."
"You say that like your surprised."
She just shrugged.
"How are you and Cody? Are you dating yet?"
"No."
"Okay and before you do I need to tell you something about him."
"What?" I asked, suddenly worried.
"Cody used to go to one of my rivalry schools" she said. "There's this rumor about him that he raped a girl and that's why he moved. It was back in freshman year. He took online classes sophomore year but now he's going to school again. Your school and I just needed to tell you because I'm worried for you. I don't know if the rumors true or not, it's probably not but I still wanted to tell you."
I was quiet for a good three minutes.
"Thanks for telling me." I said. Without realizing at the moment how rude it was I got up and left the table without saying a word. I threw away my food and started walking to the exit.
"Sorry" she said, running up behind me.
"Yeah, thanks for telling me" I said. I think as she was at a lost for words as I stormed out the mall. I made sure I grabbed Kales present. I rushed towards my car and sat inside. Tay was right behind me every step of the way. Once I got to her house she got out and said, "Sorry again, Na"
"It's okay. Thanks for coming" I said, patiently waiting for her to leave. He did soon and I drove home.
When I got home I sat down and tried to decipher whether or not to call Cody or not.
Next thing I know the phone was ringing.
After the fourth ring I heard the other side of the line pick up. I held my breathe until I heard another noise.
"Hey Na"
"Hey Cody"
"What are you doing tonight?"
"Nothing, my parents took my car away"
"Oh, poor baby"
"You can come over though"
"Can I?"
"Yeah, come over in like an hour!"
"Okay"
"Be there?"
"I'll be there."
