Chapter #19 ~Annabeth~

"Annabeth! Annabeth!" I wake to Percy yell/whispering.
"What?" I ask. It was still dark.
I immediately went alert ready for a fight.
"People are coming we gotta move." He says.
I put my finger over my lips.
Sure enough 3 tributes come.
It looks like district one and the boy from 9.
"I was sure they were going to be around here." The boy from 1 says.
"Well do you wanna set up camp here then?" The girl from 1 says.
I really couldn't care less about their names.
I grab the parachute out of the backpack and take out the do not eat note. Behind it there was another note that said: "blue berries. Enjoy and don't die. ~unknown"
Honestly I really thought they were going to fall for it.
I close it and drop it.
It slowly floats down. The boy from 9 catches it.
"This early?"
"Don't complain." The boy from 1 says snatching it from him.
"Blue berries!" He says like a little boy receiving a gift in Christmas.
He grabs some and pops them in his mouth.
"Sophie, Ben. You have to try this!" He says eating more.
Sophie and Ben eats some.
"What are they anyways?" Percy whispers very quietly.
"I think their night lock berries. You die within like a very short amount of time by eating them."
Percy's eyes widen.
The boy from district 1 has already collapsed.
Sophie and Ben are gaping at him.
"THESE ARE NIGHT LOCK." Sophie says scraping her tongue.
It was too late. She fell to the ground and shortly after so did Ben.
Three canons went off symbolizing that they were dead. 
"Huh." Is all Percy said.
I looked around.
I jumped down from the tree as silently as I could and grabbed the parachute thing. I then climbed back up.
"We could always use this again."
I tuck it back in the backpack.
"You get some rest. I'll take first watch." Percy says a bit stunned.
"Wake me if anyone comes near again. Okay?" I ask.
"Okay." He replies.
I nod and try to sleep.
I thought I was going to be lucky but the nightmares are worse in here.
~In the dream~
Percy lay on my lap. A knife in his chest. I was crying.
A canon went off.
Percy was dead.
And I didn't save him.

I wake up with a jolt sitting straight up.
Percy turns to me.
He's still alive.
Thank the gods.
"Morning." He says.
It was morning?
It was still dark but I could tell it was starting to get light out.
"What's wrong?" Percy asks reading my expression.
"Nightmares." I say.
He pulls me into a hug.
"Hey listen everything is going to be okay in the end. And if it's not okay then it's not the end." He strokes my hair.
After a while my nerves calm.
"We'll be okay. I promise."

The sun was finally out. we could see pretty well so we decide to pack up our little camp in the tree.
I jump down and so does Percy.
Laying on the ground was a few berries and worst of all 3 bodies.
I try to ignore them and start walking.
It's always good to be on the run.
No one can track you then.
Well they probably can but you know it'll be harder.
"Do you wanna start going that way," I in front of me," or that way," I point behind me," either way we came from that way so." I say pointing to my left and then shrugging.
"Forward!" Percy says.
"Okay."

It seemed really quiet for a bit until I heard a stick break.
Whoever broke it was probably silently cursing in their head.
Percy pulls out his sword and I pull out my dagger.
We go pack to back and start walking slowly in a circle so we can cover all around us.
An arrow just missed my head. 
I see one coming at me and I dodge it.
"Percy! Run!" I say.
Start running but realize we're near a small river. Percy grinning.
"Oh gods." I murmur.
The water starts to rise.
So does our bow user.
Him/her has a hood over there face possibly for camouflage.
The water traps them in probably a hallow circle of water.
Like a water force feild.
The water turning rapidly.
"Okay, go!" He says and we start running through the forest again.
But there is always the possibility that we are on top of a hill.

Rolling down a hill at fast speed and being chased isn't very fun.
