The very next day, Kat woke up kind of late. She hurried downstairs and scarfed down her breakfast. Then she threw on a random outfit, her jacket, grabbed her book bag, and was ready to go.

Jenny drove her and Sky to school. "Now Kat, I've got something kind of big at work and Gibbs has to be there, too. So you are going to have to walk Sky home. Okay?"

Kat nodded. She looked at the building. Everyone would be talking about her today. She had attacked the most popular girl in school.

She walked in the front doors, after dropping off Sky, and Jacob met her at the door. He pulled her of to the side. "Kat. There's something you should know... People haven't forgotten about yesterday. They were-"

"They were what?"

"They were saying stupid things about you online and I have heard people saying things all morning. I just wanted to warn you before..." People were beginning to whisper loudly around them. "Exactly."

Kat sighed. "I'm sorry Jacob. Now they're all going to be harassing you too...."

"Hey, I don't care, Kat. They're stupid. It doesn't matter what they say."

Kat effortlessly smiled. She went on to her classes. "I'll see you later..."

"Bye."

The day was very long, especially with everyone talking about Kat left and right. Trixie came to school with crutches, declaring that her leg was "broken."

Kat simply rolled her eyes every time she saw her. On her way to her table from getting her food during lunch, she was just walking along, and suddenly, she tripped over something, which just happened to be the crutches.

Kat fell, face forward, twisting to the side slightly. Kat sat up and rubbed her ankle. It was definitely hurt. Not broken, but at least sprained. Jacob came from across the room. He had hear the commotion and saw Kat.

He helped her up. "Ow..." She put her hand on her ankle.

"Kat, are you okay?"

She took a deep breath. "Yeah... I'm fine. I think it's just sprained."

Jacob helped her over to an empty table, then went and got her some new lunch. "Thanks..."

The rest of the day was longer than the firs part. Her ankle began to swell up and turn colors. She didn't complain, though.

At the end of the day, Kat was wiped out. She limped to her locker and grabbed her bag. Then she remembered that she had to walk Sky home from school.

Just thinking of the pain in her ankle made her want to cry. She sighed and then felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around to see Jacob. "Oh hey..."

"Hey. How's your ankle?"

Kat showed him.

"Holy crap! Kat it's swollen!"

"Really? I hadn't noticed," Kat stated sarcastically.

"Yikes. You waiting for your parents to get here?"

"No, I have to walk home with Sky today."

"It's nearly a mile, though. And with your ankle like it is..." He thought for a moment. "Well, it's really not that far out of my way. And I did just get a car so, I could drive you guys home."

"Would you? Oh Jacob thank you. Let me just go get Sky."

"You just go out to the car. I'll get Sky. She knows me well enough."

"Thanks Jacob..."

As Kat went out to the car, Jacob went to the second building to get Sky. She gladly went with him, since she knew him. He went out to the car with her on his shoulders.

She giggled as they approached the car. "Kat look! I'm taller than you!"

Kat smiled. "You sure are."

Jacob unlocked the car, put Sky in the back seat, and got in the front seat himself. They headed towards Kat's house.

"How was school, Sky?"

"It was okay..."

"Good."

Sky kinda smiled. "Kat can I have popcorn when we get home?"

"I guess... I don't see why not.."

Kat looked over at Jacob and smiled. "Thanks for driving us home..."

Jacob glanced over at her. "No problem." He smiled and looked over at her.

Suddenly, a car slammed into them. It hit the front headlight and sent the car spinning. It didn't hurt Kat. Nothing new besides her ankle.

"Sky?! Sky are you okay?"

Sky was crying from fear. "Y-yeah. I th-think so..."

"Good..."

Jacob grunted.

"Jacob what's wrong?"

"My leg... It'll be fine." He moved his hand and revealed some blood, but quickly covered it up again.

Kat's door opened and she barely was able to turn around before she was hit on the head and blacked out.

~~~
The darkness faded in and Kat heard crying. She opened her eyes slowly and saw two men surrounding Sky. She looked run down and her clothes were torn.
Kat sat up, but slowed herself. Her head hurt in the back. She slowly stood up. "Get away from her!"
The men turned around. "Well well well, look who's finally awake..."
"Bout time too. She's been out for half an hour now."
Kat glanced at Sky. "Get away from her..."
One of the men cocked his head. "Oh yeah? Who's gonna make me?"
He put his hand on Sky's shoulder and squeezed a little. She cried more. "Kat, help me!"
Kat ran, through the pain in her ankle, over and tried to shove the man's arm away. The other man grabbed both of her arms behind her back.
The other man came close. "You listen here. You don't decide what happens... I do!" He slapped her across the face.
Kat stared at him. She didn't back down. "You won't get away with this... My dad is going to find us. He won't stop until he does and he's gonna-"
She was stopped by another slap. Still, she didn't back down.
"You foolish girl. You don't see that we WANT your father to find us? That's why we left the boy alive. Otherwise he and you would be dead."
Kat couldn't help but Yelp as the man holding her threw her across the floor and continued beating her. He was trying to make her look horribly injured. Most likely they were Going to send a video or a picture to her dad.
